Today's Direct was huge if you're a fan of JRPGs, farming, and music/rhythm games.
Maybe but I'm still waiting for my JRPG Farming Rhythm fusion game.
Meanwhile, Sony's State of Play was: "You like action games set in the post-apocalypse? No? Tough shit. Here's eight plus Harry Potter and an indy card game."
I cant believe Factorio is coming, that is like my dream game for portable play. Like just recently I was pining for that kind of game to the point I was considering a Steam Deck. Now I don't have to!
Since wishes are coming true: gosh I'd sure like a portable Satisfactory
Mod support not being on the Switch, while understandable* is a big ouch. Factorio base is very good, but the mods are incredible.

Wait, wait, hold on, the drugs are kicking in and I think I'm getting a vison...
A JRPG... farming... rhythm game!
Do a rhythm challenge to plant your crops! PLANT-PLANT-plantplantplant-PLANT-PLANT-plantplantplant!
Harvest crops who are also at the same time your party members! A happy-go-lucky cabbage with a dark and mysterious past! An amnesiac carrot with a strange choice of weapon! Also there's an eggplant!
Fight weeds in sophisticated turn-based rhythm battles! Equip your party with eldritch mastercrafted spades and pitchforks! Fuel harvest magic with Gardenia energy! Unearth ancient crop remix secrets - literally, 'cause they're underground and stuff!
BRB spinning up a Kickstarter page, don't mind me.

The Adventures of Eggplant and Peach would probably do pretty well by crowdfunding, yes

Online play in Goldeneye is exclusive to the Switch release. For MS, it's local only.
There seems to be a lot of misinformation/misunderstanding surrounding Goldeneye. Some sources (like this tweet) are saying that the Switch is literally just getting the N64 ROM as part of NSO, and that's why it has online multiplayer, the built-in capabilities of the NSO wrapper. Others are saying no, the Switch is getting the same remaster as Microsoft's, but with online play added to it.
Goldeneye is an extremely archaic game that is only going to appeal to us old people. The game predates dual analog AND motion controls, and is going to feel weird to new players, and any remaster changing the controls is going to upset the original fans. Also it lacks the hundreds of unlockable dangling keys to keep you playing, and that stuff has so thoroughly ruined our brains that I can’t imagine Goldeneye online having legs beyond a weekend or two of nostalgia with your friends.
At this point it's not even clear that the xbox version is the remaster. People pointing out that the graphics we've seen so far in their tweet are just higher-resolution N64 graphics.
It's so weird that everyone latches on to goldeneye when perfect dark is better in every way as a multiplayer game. It even has a bunch of the goldeneye weapons and a few of the maps. And you can do a lot of customizing the multiplayer like changing where weapons spawn, adding in ai bots, etc.

I remember grinding my head off on some of those fucking challenges that required RNG to be just right.
The real question will be if they find a way to get the cartridge tilting stuff emulated.

It's a port of an Apple Arcade game from a few years ago. Not too many reviews but it seems pretty average.

I never had an N64 expansion pack, so I never got to experience Perfect Dark or DK64 or other ones I can't remember right now. I was mostly upset about missing DK64 though
Funny story, DK64 apparently only required the expansion pak because there was a memory leak they didn't have time to fix, the extra RAM let it run long enough before it ran out of memory and crashed for them to say it was acceptable.
Oh dang, I didn't realize that Majora's Mask required the expansion pak. Only that and DK64 absolutely required it. PD needed it for story mode and StarCraft 64 needed it for certain parts.

For me personally Goldeneye was the last hurrah in terms of local multiplayer. I moved from the place I grew up which had 50 kids all wanting to play games all the time to an area where I didnt know anyone and it basically ended multiplayer gaming for me for a long time, and that was right before Perfect Dark released.
Now that I think of it, it did gain a slight resurgence when Halo came out but Goldeneye was pretty much the end of local multiplayer shenanigans for me period.
It didn't help that playing "last place gives up the controller" with those 50 kids forged me into a goldeneye player good enough that the random people I could get to play with me after I moved would be beaten so badly they'd give up and refuse to play again. The number of "I am the greatest Goldeneye player ever" careers I ended in that time almost reached double digits.
Theatrhythm starts are 60 and goes up from there to 99.99 for the deluxe
I really did not play Majora's mask until the 3ds
Now because at the time golden eye came out I was learning counter insurgency tactics. So with the proximity mines I would put them on the med kits and armor. I would stick them under doors and on ceilings
I never understood why people said Odd Job had an advantage as he never lasted long enough
But because I was in the enlisted barracks and in the MEU with regular marines many of them would whine and cry about how we were doing the fun stuff of irregular warfare vs them to others in their units
Oh dang, I didn't realize that Majora's Mask required the expansion pak. Only that and DK64 absolutely required it. PD needed it for story mode and StarCraft 64 needed it for certain parts.
I got Gauntlet 64 for Christmas, and two extra controllers so my brothers and I could all play at once, like in the arcade
Turns out you needed the expansion pak for multiplayer, oops. Had to run out and try to get it Christmas Day :X
And then I had it for Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark, and the second Castlevania 64 (the latter of which I never ended up actually getting)
I'm not ashamed to admit that I did several of the Perfect Dark challenges by changing the enemies to Tall Woman with Grey Alien Head and myself to Gray Alien with Tiny Head, because duck those impossible bots

i played 3p goldeneye for years with my 2 bros
it simply got to beat perfect dark by dint of being earlier and being such a staple of local multiplayer
also bayo3 looks very fun - a lot more interesting than bayo 2 which was imo a downgrade from bayo1 in a bunch of ways - the core combat system was less elegant for things like monster launcher classes, though it was not without cool stuff
viola seems to have big chunks of mgr raidens move set - her parry stance is his, she has his rising kick, etc. hope thats their way of expanding on his move set and potential even though they arent doing another mgr afawk
Eight days ago, a Reddit user founded r/tearsofthekingdom, well ahead of today's reveal that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be the title of the sequel to Breath of the Wild.
The subreddit was created on September 4, 2022 by a user named milonssecretcastle. A single 'lounge' post, common in new Reddit forums, was created on the same day, labeled as a "place for members of r/tearsofthekingdom to chat with each other." The subreddit saw no other activity until today, when fans eager to discuss the new Zelda game stumbled across it in Reddit's search results.
One of the subreddit's first new posts, simply titled "bruh," sums up the sentiment. "How is this over a week old," user Excellus asks. "Did the creator know about the name already? If it was like 5 months old yea it could be a coincidence, but since it's only 8 days old hmmmm?"
I don't remember if it was for reddit posts, or youtube videos, or what exactly. But a popular way to scam/trick people into thinking you have inside info is to make a post, about anything. Then days later when some info gets out, you go back and edit your post with the info. It then makes you look like you knew about this thing days before it was properly revealed.
So my guess is a week ago somebody made a subreddit about... something worthless nobody paid any attention to. Fast forward to yesterday, when Nintendo reveals the game name, they go back and edit the reddit name. And now you have a subreddit called Tears of Kingdom "created" a week ago.
"The sausage of Green Earth explodes with flavor like the cannon of culinary delight."
I don't think that applies here. Creating a subreddit creates a unique plain text URL, I don't think you can just edit it to whatever you want without admin intervention.

In my group of friends this is heresy even if I agree. Perfect Dark with the expansion pack was a much better experience.

The fine print is that even when playing online you still have split screens.
There were a couple of control options that used two Control Pads to emulate dual analog. I don't know anyone who used them, but they were there.
