Mushroom the Possum also passed away and my girlfriend cried in our car outside of Costco when she found out.

Joxer is 16 1/2, his back legs don't really work any more, and he doesn't really have much bladder control any more, so he spends his time mostly in bed with a peepad. I carry him outside 4-5 times per day with a harness on his back end so I can lift his back legs and kinda wheelbarrow him so he can do his business. He's still pretty happy and as far as we can tell he's pain free, but it does seem like his hearing and vision are going too, and he's been just the goodest boy.

This news sucks, but I'm kind of glad it wasn't my first fear, which was that someone on the forum had passed.

    Condolences.

Guess this is good a place as any to say I'm worried about my little blonde cat.
She Always always walks around with her tail up. She's rarely a lapcat, but super friendly, and a ball of energy, despite technically being an elder cat.

Her tail is down, and she doesn't seem able to control it much except a little at the base, it's hanging limply. Her back hips seem a little stiff, but she didn't respond in pain when i gently checked her over. Her behavior is just slightly off, she seems down. The vet receptionist said to call back in the morning to hopefully snag a cancellation...

But she's grooming, so I don't think I need to try another vet or get her to the ER. I'm thinking/hoping it's an anal gland issue, because that seems like the easiest and least worrisome resolution.

Hope it's just the gland issue instead of something more serious and that she gets better quickly.

I believe the news broke here about 10-15 mins before my first notice of Angela Lansbury.
