Reinstall Office 2019

SonnyviSonnyvi Registered User new member
Hello,
I installed Microsoft Office 2019 on a computer a few years ago. That computer has died and is no longer in service.
I tried to install that same office on another computer, but when I tried to activate it, I was told that office is installed on another device. That is true, but that computer is dead.
Can I call Microsoft for help, or I am just out of luck.
Thanks, Sonny

Call Microsoft/chat with them on their website--they're surprisingly helpful with this sort of thing.

Yeah they're weirdly easy to deal with issues like that or moving a Windows key from one computer to another. Probably because they realize that people having their software makes them more money.

You may even be able to deactivate that old computer yourself from office.com if you log in and poke around, but otherwise that's one of the few things it is easy to get MS support on.
