ugh, I was cruising with a Patriot deck but now for some reason all my draws are shit and I end up with my 5 and 6's all in my starting hand every turn? I'm sure it's just RNG but it suuuuuucks.
It's like when I kept drawing Iron Man in my opening hand of my Negative Surfer. EVERY. DAMN. GAME. I finally took him out of the deck out of spite.
I swap between Shang Chi, Jubilee, and Lockjaw for this reason. If I don't have any of the +power cards in hand Jubilee or Lockjaw can save a game. But then for every time I use them, I have a 4x hulk lane that Shang would just wipe immediately if I had him handy. Just now a guy clearly telegraphed his Nova lane and had a 10 Carnage, 9 Winter Solider and another 9 card and I wiped the floor with them all and won the lane with just Shang
I need some math on how likely it is for this guy to gambit kill both my Patriot and my Mystique when the field was fucking full of cards, this guy got so damn lucky

I do wish On Reveal and Ongoing had better names, like On Reveal should be Flip cards and Ongoing could be like, Status cards. And then label those random effects without a condition "Neutral" so they can have buff/debuff zones too.

This guy tried to double stall me with 2 spideys and 2 Xavier's but I just said okay and cloned a Patriot in the far lane then hit them with Onslaught

So I either get GG or I'll see GG over and over and over again unless I get extremely lucky.

Eh it's not astronomical. You have a 60% chance of seeing a series 3 card in your shop, which is very high but not astronomical, and since you only have one card to get, that's the card you get whenever it shows a series 3. It's pretty unlikely but not insane that you'd see Green Goblin consistently in the token shop, even consecutively for a long period of time.
From Ben Brode's posts I'm not aware of a bug where it ONLY shows you series 3 if you have one left, but he acknowledges it's a feels bad to just have it rotate through a very small group of cards.
Playing Control Sera. Opening location is Lamentis-1, and in my 6 cards, I have Sentinel, Killmonger, Nova, Enchantress, Shang-Chi, JJ.
Taking Chaos' advice, I snap before any cards are played. Opponent immediately retreats before we even hit round 2, so free cube.
But cmon! That would have been glorious, stick around poor opponent!
I would actually define this as a pretty brave fuckin' snap. I guess you can spam Sentinel for power I feel it's highly likely a Surfer deck gets around you in this case. There are definitely locations you can farm for a free cube like Lamentis. A lot of people will just assume you're playing Deathwave and hit the nuts or something.

It's difficult to give recommendations without knowing what else you have, but let's see. Aero is a generically good card and it's not going to be bad to play her in generally any situation. That's totally a feel call. It's really just how greedy vs interactive you want to be. The greed route is cutting anything that doesn't directly synergize (Aero/Shang Chi) for things that do, in this case something like Wasp and maybe Invisible Woman. Shang and Aero are kind of in awkward slots, especially Shang-Chi, as that's a common Mystique turn, and you'd generally want to hold him until 5/6, but it will rarely be correct to play Shang-Chi over Ultron is my guess.
What I would recommend, however, is subbing Doom or Ultron to get Onslaught back in. Doom and Ultron do kind of the same thing and drawing both of them is probably/rarely ever going to be useful, or give you a different option. If you have like, a Cosmo lane that you need to play them into, you're boned. Onslaught gives you another route to victory besides spamming the board with an on reveal, which is to double down on your ongoing abilities. Further, Doom and Ultron both being in there are going to make it super difficult for you to play. If your endgame is Ultron, then the best plan is to generally NOT play additional bodies to the board. Ultron bots are better than Mysterio Illusions or Debrii rocks so it is better to hold those cards and see how it develops before you commit. However, if you draw Doom on turn 6 but not Ultron, oops, you should have been playing out your hand this whole game because now those rocks and Illusions are better than nothing.
If you DO want to run Patriot with some controlling interactive elements, Patriot Surfer might be the way to go as that will run some good crossover three drops that you can slot in. Otherwise it's a pretty standard Patriot list. A lot of things are flavor to taste.

It's definitely not bad and it will win you some games that other cards will not. I always like to imagine the deckbuilding as two meters, your greed and safety meters. Greed is good because it means you have more games where you just blow people out of the water and you're just spamming the board with points. On the other hand, you have no "break glass in case of emergency" if someone say, makes a 16 power Black Panther and Zola's it. It's really just a judgment call, but changing one meter changes the other. More greed less safety, and vice versa.
What I would recommend, and this goes for everyone trying to piece together their own deck, is if you can keep a note on your phone or just next to you when you're playing, make a little tally for the cards you're not sure on. So in this case, we might pick Shang-Chi, and you're going to have two columns, happy and sad. Then every time you draw Shang-chi, at the end of the game you mark a tally under the column for how he made you feel that you drew him that game. If it starts making you sad more often than happy, then yeah, cut him. Or if it's 50/50, then you can say "this is a spot I can experiment with." You can also do this as a played/not played list for draws too.
Like, this is what you do in other card games when you're tinkering. Just take the confirmation bias out of it and have the hard data. "Yeah I know this card has a few highlight reel plays but 70% of the time I'd rather have drawn anything else" or "Hey actually 60% of the time this card is money I think I'm on to something here."
PC version threw an error, couldn't reconnect, I closed, reopened - round was over, they snapped while I was DC'd and I didn't play on turns 5 or 6, lost 4 cubes.

Had a person snap on turn 5 because I'm assuming they drew Cerebro. The next turn Cerebro gave the 9 power location dino the buff which I'm assuming they forgot about.

I like the art in the Primal Bundle, but only 1500 credits and no tokens…dunno if I like the cards that much.
The problem with the Primal Bundle is largely that I would basically never use most of the cards? I'm sure someday, at some point, Kraven and Sabertooth might be must have staples but at this point only White Tiger is really any good.
I'm also more surprised there isn't a must have pool 3 card in the bundle to tempt people who don't have it yet.

When you’re building a deck, it only shows the version you have selected as your favorite. And that defaults to the base card. Not sure if that was change with this patch.

I didn't even know you could favorite cards
Yeah select the card and hit the box in the bottom corner that looks like 4 cards next to each other to see all the variants/Splits for it. Hit the star at the top of your favorite. There is also the option of auto swapping this into all your decks that use the card when you favorite one.
Also did the math and that $100 bundle would get you approx (based on being over 1000 CL):
200 boosters
1000 credits
20 crates
-5 series 3 cards
-500 tokens
-1500-2000 credits or 1000 gold (some combination of that)
-5 variants/titles/avatars
Actually a bit more than that, depends on where you are on the track.

In the card collections screen, tap the small button in the lower right corner. It opens the "Search and Filters" page. At the bottom is the "Show" section with Unowned and All Variants. If you deselect "All Variants", turning it from Blue to Black, it will only show you the cards that you've selected as Favorites.
To Favorite a card, open any card like you're going to upgrade it, but instead use the button with 4 squares on it. This will show you all the Variants you own for that card. Tap the Star to favorite that card. A nice QoL change is that when you make a card a Favorite, the game will ask if you want to swap this Favorite with all versions of that card in your existing decks. For example: You unlock Baby Squirrel Girl and make her a Favorite. The game will then replace all your SGs with BSGs.
