I am going through my old 8mm camcorder footage and copying everything to my hard drive. I'd like to split out these videos (roughly an hour and a half long) into separate mp4 files. I usually use a tool called mp4 splitter but this video file is so long that the audio got disjointed somewhere in the split that everything is off by a second.
I don't care what it costs. I just want one that works well and makes it easy to trim a huge mp4 into smaller ones.
edit edit edit: Okay I uploaded the mp4 up to youtube to show a friend and the youtube video has 0 delay but watching the exact same file using VLC and Photos has a 850ms delay in the audio.
Website looks hella shady, but it works well and quickly.
The audio desync may be a codec issue, given that YouTube is playing it fine, but local players aren't (YouTube re-encodes the file into their own codecs to optimize for streaming video).
