Teixeira was known to be accessing and taking note about information that he didn't need on multiple occasions.

Just an embarrassment at every level.

But you don't understand, Quid, Warthunder. Warthunder!

I read this (twice) as Wart hunder.

Two were already removed from duty.

If they reported this to their security officer, which they should have but who knows, that person's out of a job too.

I guess the only security they couldn't provide. Was Job security.

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Somewhere in the Pentagon, a high (military) ranking player is quietly deleting their account.

First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!

It should have had a parallel report made to the SSO at the same time

This. The site security officer is supposed to be informed of *any* misconduct. Frankly they're more important to notify than the guy's chain of command since they're the ones who actually control access to a SCIF.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We only know his chain of command was. They should have, but given the multiple observed violations, I have my doubts.

    Video games: literally serious business.

It's also a situation where every person who saw or knew about the violation had a positive duty to immediately report it to the SSO.

This is basically exactly what I (and many others) expected here. This kind of shit almost certainly happens because of lax enforcement of the actual rules. Everyone around the guy is letting shit slide. Because it's not worth the hassle to go through official procedures or cause they like the guy or whatever. And that's all fine till someone does something really fucking dumb and then the eye of sauron turns on your little corner and whoops, now everyone is asking what the fuck you've been doing this whole time and people start getting burned.

“But why did you post those documents for clout?”, asked the Senior Master Sergeant. “Surely you know that now we will both drown?”
“Lol”, said Airman First Class Teixeira, “lmao”.
