Resizing pages in a PDF... on a Chromebook

I scanned three pages from a book I own to make a pdf. The book is bigger than standard letter size, but fits on the scanner bed. All three pages were scanned with the same settings: letter size (because that was the largest option available) and 300 dpi. This is the result:

How do I fix this?
  • Completely re-trying the scan gave me the same result, so it's not just a fluke.
  • Printing gives me the option to scale to page size, but I don't want to print; I want a pdf with pages all the same size. Selecting "Save as PDF" as my printer removes all scaling options.
  • Adobe Acrobat might be able to help, but I can't subscribe/start the free trial. The big "Subscribe" button literally does nothing.
  • In Adobe's online tools, the tooltip for the "crop" tool claims that I can resize pages with it, but this is not so.
  • I can save the scans as jpgs rather than a pdf and then paste them into a document, but doing so results in an unacceptable loss of quality. There is no option to save to a less lossy image format.

Are there any non-sketchy apps or Chrome extensions for pdf editing? The only ones I know of with a decent reputation either refuse to let me pay for them (Acrobat) or only do basic editing, not... this.

A long time ago, before chrome and stuff started doing pdf reading in browsers, I used to use FoxitPDF

Not sure if it's still non-sketchy or not, but it was fine way back when

We use FoxItPDF on our PCs at my library. And with how our IT department is, it must be pretty legit because our PCs are locked down pretty hard.

Turns out Foxit's mobile app doesn't support resizing pages. It looks like the answer is "use a computer with Windows."

Which I do have, so, not that big a deal. It's just annoying.

Really dumb question - it's not just showing the page your on as big and the others as small previews, right?

Also I see it previewing at 33%? Assume you checked all that but just in case.

I've heard the Adobe scanner phone app is good and free.

It's not just the previews, no. I zoomed out to 33% for the screenshot so all three pages would be visible.

I scanned these on an actual flatbed scanner. My chromebook's camera isn't great.
