The price for Lavine has gotten so low that Chicago is looking to accept salary dumps. I wonder who bites.

JJ really doesn't seem that smart with regards to this decision. Being Bron's fallguy?

As of June 30th, Lebron will be a free agent so not a 100% guarantee he even comes back.

Detroit had population growth this past year for the first time in like 4 7 decades

    It’s booming!

…..but for real the only team Lebron is going to if not re-signing with the Lakers (which he is going to do, this is silly) is a sign-and-trade to the Cavs for a farewell tour

The NBA and NHL really should have coordinated so they didn’t each have finals games on the same nights.

Breaking: The Lakers are targeting UConn's Dan Hurley to become the franchise’s next coach, sources tell
    @ wojespn.

The team has had preliminary contact with Hurley and the sides are planning to escalate discussions in coming days, sources say.

Dan Hurley leaving UCONN right now would be the biggest mistake of his career

Pregame instantly reminds me why I hate Steven A Smith and part of me wants the stupid Celtics now.

Is there a way neither wins?

Probably gonna have stop switching Josh fucking Green onto Porzingis

Like I'm not an NBA coach or anything, but I don't think that's a great matchup

I stand by calling the Celtics dogshit by the way.

I will only take solice in Jrue getting another title because he deserves every one.

But holy shit do I hate this Celtics team.

Not THE Celtics. I'm actually rather apathetic to occasionally positive about the team...well, before the fucked Isaiah Thomas. But even then I'm pretty much apathetic.

No I hate THIS Celtics team. I will not respect any team who's strategy after throwing up 19.7 million three's is, "uh...fuck it, Iso I guess????"

This is where I land I think…..except Mavs have Kyrie and I actively dislike him, where the Celtics is merely a resoundingly hollow feeling of ambivalence.

The Celtics are like overcooked chicken. Bland, stringy and only an option as an alternative.

This only makes me resent Kyrie more, because I can’t root for this Mavs team which has some heart and flair.

I'm not sure why Dallas decided to stop putting the ball into the hoop, but they might want to consider reversing that trend

Unfortunately when the mavericks look bad they look like the worst team to ever play the game of basketball

Whatever, hopefully they decide not to suck next game

Huh kinda thought the mavs would run away with it.

  • ph blakeph blake Registered User regular
KP got going early, the Mavs cannot buy a three point shot to save their lives, and so they had some really stupid offensive possessions trying to shoot their way out of the hole (which of course just made it worse).

But really it's just the fact that the Mavs shot 3-11 from three and Boston shot 11-27, and those 24 points are basically the difference

You can't just do 11 - 3 = 8 * 3 = 24. It took the Celtics 27 shots to get those 11, those 16 extra shots went somewhere for the Mavs. They are just sucking in all facets of the game right now

Edit: removed old irrelevant draft that glommed on to the post.

Jason Tatum is never beating the allegations, but it doesn’t matter because the Celtics top end is just too deep.

Porzingis maybe being injured again could change things though, as could Kyrie playing like a human rather than a guy who read his press clippings.
