I know someone is already on the phone trying to option this IP from G&T.
Also, 1989 was in fact the first year Ford produced the Taurus SHO.

The idea of racing for souls is bangin'.

But the name "Wheel Saint" isn't quite doing it for me.

Both of these pitches are killer so far, but I gotta agree. This one needs a better name.

Wheels are also one of the choirs of angel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophanim). A Throne angel. Which makes sense because god's throne is depicted with wheels. And the Ophanim are the literal wheels of god's chariot. Jerry isn't wrong about the richness of Catholicism for story.
The 'thrones'; also known as 'ophanim' (offanim) and 'galgallin', are creatures that function as the actual chariots of God driven by the cherubs. They are characterized by peace and submission; God rests upon them. Thrones are depicted as great wheels containing many eyes, and reside in the area of the cosmos where material form begins to take shape. They chant glorias to God and remain forever in his presence. They mete out divine justice and maintain the cosmic harmony of all universal laws.

This comic is awesome. Ambivalent on the name but the idea is pretty great. Would be an amazing new twisted metal game, sort of a polar opposite to Black.

I assume this idea came about because within the past week Gabe watched all 9 Fast and the Furious movies.

Instead of racing for pink slips, they're racing for souls. Fun idea.

I'm picturing Crazy Taxi, but for souls. Like instead of taking a lady to Pizza Hut, you have to beat the Devil's agent to a kid about to sin, and then drop them off at the local youth center.

Oh, we're talking about the *guy's* name? I thought we were talking about the show name. I just assumed the dude's name was Axel Allegiance or something.

Good point - I was thinking that Wheel Saint was either his title but we never learned his real name, or he was named Jimmy Wheel, like Knight Rider

And the protagonist is named Evan.

I'm gonna be the voice of opposition to these comments here: I like Wheel Saint as a name. Also, just...like...look how GOOD it looks with that sort-of-Blade Runner split-font thing? Also, I fully respect the fact that he has to be driving a 'merican car and the SHO Taurus is absolutely the best choice, but maann I wanna see some of those late-80's Japanese masterpieces too! How do we get more of this? I need more of this.

Hmm, that actually sounds pretty awesome.

I think it will be a failure if, in the subsequent years of Wheel Saint strips we'll see, one of the antagonists doesn't say "Wheels Ain't ...". I mean I already hear that when I read it. It just flows better than the actual words.
