I wonder if you could make a search algorithm (addon because lets be honest here) that filters responses for website functionality as part of the "goodness" of the result.
Basically the closer you get to something like Wikipedia or Craigslist the higher rank it gets.
I do understand why it doesn't already exist, googles search platform is built on selling ads to the sites it indexes, but it seems like a way to nudge the internet into a better direction.

I mean I feel like youre describing PageRank
Not glibly like
Thats the algo (In a link-heavy environment where you use "closeness" as a metric)

Right but one that looks at the amount of ads per page and pop-ups etc and docks points for that bullshit.
I just want to one time be able to look at a recipe site and not want to burn down the whole internet.

I had food poisoning two years ago that was like this, but also for my ass.
I had to get driven to the ER and get hooked up to an IV for two hours.
That happened to me one too! With my last energy I texted my doctor friend "I'm sure it's fine" and then he came to my apartment and found me laying in the bathroom unable to move. Thanks Texas Ren Faire!!!!
The kind of podcasts that are just one hour long sessions of friends on a couch bullshitting is anathema to me. It’s too much “bros drinking beers at a bar” for my liking. Like, it has to be a targeted, moderated or self-moderated discussion that is edited well and fits within a good time slot. I have a friend that is the exact opposite, and ONLY listens to those kind of podcasts, because she likes the parasocial relationship with the couch sitters and the “hangout” feeling.

I've tried a few different styles of podcast and the only one I can listen to at length is TTRPG real play podcasts. I get bored of everything else.

The points where there is a melody and counter-melody, they've chosen to cover one of the melodies and some of the instrumentation, and it makes it sound incomplete
It's a shame because in-story it's supposed to be a combination of two earlier songs, one a funeral dirge and the other a war song, combining them into something with new meaning. Cutting out either melody while just flipping back and forth between them loses that synthesis. And SMB acknowledge they were a blend of two songs, so it's not like they weren't aware.
It's probably a limitation of piano music with two hands, but it's still a shame.
Partner surprised me by visiting my workplace for lunch! We had sandwiches out in the sun, it was very nice.

I have always been confused by the hate Nickelback gets. I don't particularly like their music, but, it's like, pretty unremarkable rock radio stuff. Like, are people mad that they got successful while also being mundane? Or what? Like, there are definitely worse bands out there, but Nickelback's main claim to fame is how many people are, like, super offended they exist.

When they get lousy with weird call backs and in jokes its just insufferable. I went and saw MBMBAM live after having never been more than a casual listener and having really not listed at all for months and it was just a bunch of people yelling memes I'd never heard of at each other.

I think its the cognitive dissonance of their popularity, bland music, and apparent lack of fans. The last bit is of course untrue, since you can't be popular and have no fans, but its a little unusual for a band to have tons of fans and for that set of people to be totally disjoint from communities that talk about music online (which it seems to be for Nickelback. Or at least nobody in these circles will admit to being a fan)
Imagine Dragons is another similar example

And, like, I've only heard a handful of their songs, but Believer is a straight banger. I can't think of any Nickelback songs I've heard I would actually seek out to listen to again.
