From my point of view it is the therapist who is evil
Then you are lost!
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

My morning has been spent stripping everything I can put of my work laptop in an effort to get ahead of the curve on the windows 11 install.
Now comes the fun part of seeing if it will work.

I can't find my work phone and I think one of my roommates threw it away when they were cleaning up boxes not realizing that wasn't an empty iphone box

16c is 60F? If you were out hiking that's hypothermia weather if you get rained on.
If you're moving its totally fine! I have hiked in colder (not a lot colder but colder), under rain and its not only fine but my favorite condition. If you're camping at the end, you need dry gear which can be a problem but thats a separate thing.

The original Half-Life was somewhat amazingly counter-cultural. Like...a good chunk of the game, you are literally just fighting the US military, who are portrayed as the bad guys. Like holy shit imagine making that game today.
Meh. You may not be shooting at American soldiers but 99% of all violent video games have you killing Americans. Who are you driving over in GTA5? American pedestrians. Who are you shooting in the Division? American bandits. Who is Frank West chopping up with a lawn mower in Dead Rising? American zombies.
When every fictional story is set in America, that means America is also the world's biggest punching bag.
difference is that in all those examples you're not fighting the the regular, legitimate US military as the basically main antagonist.

Also, are they really the bad guys in HL? They’re trying to kill you, yes, but they’re also trying to stop a extra-dimensional incursion that your dumb ass started.

I mean doesn't that sorta make it worse?
Antagonist doesn't necessarily mean evil or bad guys though?
And that the US military in HL1 are like, legitimate, aboveboard, following reasonable lawful orders kinda makes it even more crazy that you're just doming them left and right? Like this isn't the US military knowingly trying to create extra-dimensional horrors, it's them trying to save the world -from you.

There are many games where your main antagonists are rogue groups of the US military (see: every video game with Tom Clancy's name on it) but few where they're operating legitimately.

It’s tragic really
You’re trying to survive and make it to Lambda Core to stop things and the marines are trying to stop things too, but in the only way they know how with kill on sight orders, so it’s not like they can ask a scientist what happened when they just terminated them with extreme prejudice. Also the extra-dimensional horrors spilling out like clowns from a car kinda complicates things further.

Half life did make its baddies alien like, though. They are all masked, and speak in distorted voices. Also they seem to revel and enjoy killing the scientists.

Your dream companion tells you, and all of your companions as well, that the tadpoles will not change you because they have strong magic binding them, and we should embrace and use their powers so that we can defeat the mind flayers.

can you guys please get a lot less free with BG3 spoilers
If you knock them out you can but only if they are ever recruitable
I knocked out Minthara and noticed they were lootable, she never showed up in the game after that and I like to think that she woke up on a hill drooling sometime in Act 2, had the same feeling you get when you miss your alarm for work, realized that someone had pressed the "Loot All" button on her and in her moment of darkest desperation, ran into that one goblin that has a crush on her and the two of them lived happily ever after

They have had some issues with cross saves so I think they get disabled.

I'm saying if you are outside hiking for hours and you get soaked through and it's windy, not sunny - that can be bad!
If you're rocking your Patagucci shell you're gonna be fine, hike on, hikers
This was a long-winded way of saying its not weather that requires air conditioned-cooling
