I'm way too shallow to play most old, emulated games, but this kinda reminds me of when, years ago, Jerry started complaining about second-hand game sales (this was a once a thing, younglings Nope nope nopity nope, let's just say 'kids'), because thought it was 'bad for the industry'. I think he's realised it's not as simple as that by now, but I'm already wincing in preparation for a rant.

The modern obsession with "the cloud" is irksome to me. Sure, it may come with some conveniences, but the fact that it inherently gives a 3rd party the ability to hold your data hostage or delete it entirely just does not sit well with me.

A couple years ago I got a pc with no cd drive. It never mattered until I recently wanted to play worms 2 again

Some ROM users: "I'm going to twist myself into a pretzel to explain that my ROM usage is technically legal, or, failing that, convince you (and myself) that it's morally justifiable. I am an ethical person. I am an ethical person!"

Me: "I don't know. This shit is free and easy. What else can I say?"
