I had a gang pursuit as I was going into Pacifica. I let my annoyance get the better of me and chose Self Destruct on their car. They didn't want to stop chasing me though, and I should have been caught in the blast.

Finally cleared all the different endings on very hard, with Don't fear the Reaper being the final one. Died at least 40 times because any little thing would one shot me even through Adrenaline Rush overhealth so I just popped the -50% max health damage boosting drug and then threw wave after wave of Vs at 'im until one of them got me through.
In the end my V was full Katana + full Netrunner, which felt pretty good throughout the game. I tried out tech but just couldn't get it to feel right. Maybe I needed to use shotguns but didn't have any ready while pistols, rifles, and sniper rifles didn't really feel right combined with bolts. Tried out some build variety on a few of the endings and Hacking + Smartgun SMGs was probably the easiest boss clear, as gun DPS was high and keeping the anti-ice/counterhack meter low was pretty much risk-free.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the order of main quests in Act 2 for narrative feel? I've played the game a couple of times before (just not Phantom Liberty) and I'm just about finished with Act 1.

The game does a pretty good job of directing you on what to do in order to make a rewarding story for yourself in the main story. However depending on the order you do some side quests, certain elements will change how things can go such as romance or friendship plots. It's pretty clear when those kinds of quests appear.
On a side note, my god! I finally get to experience the game as it was intended. Ray tracing, smooth performance and level of detail that blows my mind! The city feels crowded and roadblocked with traffic. The PS5 with all the final updates to CP2077 runs like silk, whereas the PS4 felt like I was going to have a meltdown with the CPU!

I understand how things work mechanically. I'm more just curious about people's personal preferences.

I tended to do main quest -> side quest -> explore/fuck around -> side quest -> main quest, mostly.
Just Edgerunner shit. Go grab a coffee, have some casual sex, blow some people up, the usual/average day.

My first playthrough I felt the urgency of the story and minimized my screwing around. And now that I know how things go for the main storyline, I just screw around even more with exploring and side missions. Mostly I just go far enough into the story that more game options and freedoms open up.

How do I unlock the cars on AutoFixer? It says I must complete auto contracts with El Capitan. But where are those contracts? Do I just look in his zone for regular side gigs?

There’s a mission you have to do that unlocks after the first few missions of Phantom Liberty.

The Heywood, Glen area of NC sure looks cool. I like the futuristic architecture of mega buildings that creates this cavern or canopy over the smaller brick buildings.

I just wish you could do more with them. Even if you can't actually go inside all(any?) of them, even little things like being able to walk around the exteriors or do some scaling would work wonders, or viewing the city from a skyscraper rooftop.

With mods pretty much all of the rooftops are accessible, since you can just run/swing/parkour/jump around like a superhuman whirlwind of blades and death.

Even without mods you can still get double jump cyber wear and free climb to surprisingly high areas if you're patient and clever. And you're rewarded for it too sometimes with hidden goodies.
But if you want to follow the story areas or crafted environments, there are side gigs and story missions that let you see a wide variety of locations from different city vantage points. The area I was just talking about in The Glen has a lot of interactive locations and shops you can visit, as do all areas of NC in exploration outside the story.
I remember my only disappointment with the game was the Peralez mission when you detect the van. I had jumpy legs so as soon as I saw my target I immediately ran off the building and leapt to the next one and was just gonna fuck em up but it automatically kills you for not going down the elevator.

That was a great side mission story.
IIRC, The van just speeds to a back alley trap by the Maelstrom. And then you learn the van was part of the conspiracy to Manchurian Candidate Peralez. Since the van just leads you to a trap, the player should have been allowed to stop the van. It's not like it was leading you to a narrative critical area.

So does anybody have any good links on youtube to some good dev talks about the game or lore around CP2077?

Events depicted actually happened. Good evening Night City, Maximum Mike, here, ready to hear your crazy theories and conspiracies! Is your Scop flavoring a mind control additive? Does your Cyberware speak to you? Holo me now, I'll listen, choom." 'First holo on the air, what's your alias, choom?"
Hi Mike, it's [redacted]. So last night I was just headed to my 3rd job, gotta squeeze in that 48 hour day in 24 amirite? And there was this gonk walkin' the street with me, and I get a good look at him and his gonk head is just a crash dummy, robo head! Mike, I think this gonk was a rogue AI walkin' the street on the shoulder's of some zombie. And it leans over to me and says he think he remembers me from somewhere, I kid you not! Gotta go, Mike! Well, that's really something folks. Was it really some entity from beyond the black wall taking a meat suit for a stroll in our realm? Or is it just the chrome getting stranger every day?

Yeah, beyond the singularity things get real weird as the lines between tech and biotech become blurry and very borg/star trek-esque. Mr blue eyes is likely the most advanced example. V could even come back to meat space after 'death' in one headcanon ending/mod idea I have, thanks to GMO tech. 😁💡😎🤖🚀👩🏻🚀👩🏻🎤🎢🔭🏵️🍥

Just started Phantom Lib. Is it just me or does Kurt Hansen sound like Snake Plissken to you too?
If you have a computer that can even process that installation, much less run it, that'd be the trick. You'd probably run out of space by, oh, the 50th disk.

Just for visuals sake, 97,619 disks would be a 4 foot tall wall that was 78 feet long.
That feels like a rather wasteful stunt considering they quit manufacturing 3.5 floppies 13 years ago and there's still things like medical equipment, aircraft, and old manufacturing equipment using them that rely on having old warehouse stock of disks available.
Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.

Yup it's April. 😝
Being able to just hang out with the main cast of characters is still such a cool feature. And you really get a sense after completing the game just how much PTSD you must be carrying around, especially after Phantom Liberty:
V has a crazy amount of just casual sex with her friends.
I just wish your significant others/friends had more presence in the apartment. Like if you're dating Judy for instance(and you better be), it'd be cool to have her randomly hanging out or lounging around in your bed.

They added that (after Phantom Liberty, I think) I'm playing it again and I got a text from Judy asking if she could come over. You get to pick which apartment she'll go to and once you're there with her, there's cute couple things you can do at various spots around the apartment.
