When I was at a LEGO store around the time they released the big $500 castle aimed squarely at the AFOLs who grew up on the Castle theme, I noted that the display of the set had a sign reading "Welcome To Your Middle Ages!" and thinking "that's a bit too on the nose, don't you think?"
I agree. "Beloved nineties hedgehogs" would be a good option, for example. I was born in the eighties but I consider myself a nineties kid, so describing most things from my childhood as eighties things makes no sense.
Lego Hair and Lego Tombstone... now THAT's what I call Funny! Trying to think of something comparable... Lego Quantum Foam? Lego Plank Space? IDK. In any event, I wish I had caught this when it first came out. truLOL.
