I mean, it's done entirely in the Mohawk language and in cooperation with the Mohawk Nation.
It MIGHT be fraught, but, like, I'll wait to see what indigenous folks say after seeing it. Because the indigenous folks in this article seem pretty upbeat about it.
I just think that a corporate product made without native writers or producers or directors has a lot of ground to make up. You can get all the insight from native people you want but at the end of the day, it's a disney product written by non native people about the struggle of indigenous people in america.

They have a new episode every day? Why are they Echoing this show as well?
Is that still Seth Green as Howard? I bet he wasn't expecting a two second cameo into a semi-consistent career.
Also, I have to wonder where Rocket was during all this. And possibly Gamora and Star Lord if they were on the wrong side of the Shield. Speaking of which, wasn't there a risk if the Power Stone falling to the surface when Ronan's ship was destroyed?
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

I think in beginning monologue it mentions that her sister died with Thanos.

Power Stone
has to be wielded, it's only dangerous when somebody uses it. Otherwise it's just a shiny rock.
That's why they could scoop it up in a spaceball. No physical contact with a lifeform, no stone exploding people or planets.

It was a fun first episode but I'm once again wishing that each episode was a bit longer. There are fun concepts here that could all use a little bit more time to breathe.

the Power Stone fell from the ship into the mouth of a particularly pissed off squirrel.
Not, like, Rocket-type enhanced squirrel, just a regular squirrel.
All squirrels are pissed off, all the time.

So this season of What If was really strong. The lost season one episode (where Iron Man meets the Grandmaster) is more or less "What if Jeff Goldblum was a complete ham for half an hour?" They really did get Cate Blanchett back as Hela for her episode, and made the most of it. The Native American episode was respectful and fun and I want to see more of her character. And a good amount of Captain Carter! Get this woman her own series/movie already.

He wanted to turn into The Freak, which is something that actually happened to Happy Hogan in the 1960s and everyone forgot about except Favreau.
Ending of What If S2:
Feels like Peggy might be their consistent viewpoint character for a third season? It'd be nice if she could talk to Loki, God of Stories, and maybe he could send her to universes that need a nudge in the right direction or something.
(Is Loki the Watcher's boss? If we timey-wimey it so he's been in the heart of all the multiverse stuff since the Sacred Timeline split up, maybe he created/recruited the Watcher to keep an eye on things? We keep getting that Watcher swore a vow, but never who to. Who holds him to it, why did he swear it in the first place, etc?
I think there's some good material there.)

I've never seen it anywhere that the Watcher's have a boss or are working for anybody. They're some really old really advanced species and have vowed to not interfere simply because of the nature of what they do and the danger of interference. The vow is something they've taken on themselves because of awareness of the dangers of their great knowledge and reach, not something dedicated to a higher authority.

Apparently the Dreaming Celestial revealed that both the Celestials and the Watchers are the servents of a "concept" called Fulcrum, whatever that means.
Also the reason they don't interfere is some Star Trek style, Tollen-from-Stargate-ass "we interfered once, it went terribly, we're never doing that again."

I can respect that. I wouldn't mind Watcher and Carter having a proper talk about it "Do you want a multiversal dictator? Because if I interfere whenever I don't like something, that's what you'll have."
Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

I didn't care for season 2. I liked individual episodes, but I hated the finale. It was the opposite for season 1, where I was lukewarm until the finale pulled it all together.

I was similar on the finale but I think I figured out why
They pull out multiple reality reshaping items and combine them, and the most they can think to do with that is PUNCH HARDER! was expecting a swerve that never came in that regard
She was underwhelming in Hawkeye so I dunno...hopefully it's good.
The actress is not only deaf, but mute and missing a leg. Serious obstacles for her developing her craft and being the bad-ass Echo from the comics.
Kind of like having a legit blind person play Daredevil and hoping for the hallway fight from the Netflix's series.
The sky was full of stars, every star an exploding ship. One of ours.

Welp
Per the showrunner of Echo in an interview today, the Netflix Daredevil is now MCU canon; the hemming and hawing was apparently due to some rights issues that had to be sorted first before they could say it.
Nothing official from Marvel Studios or Kevin Feige himself yet, but it seems like that’s the way this is headed
I guess that means the rest of the Netflix stuff is canon, and Alfre Woodard has two MCU roles just like Gemma Chan

Well, it always kind of was... they even gloss around the Battle of NY as the "incident" in DD S1, it was just like AoS in that the show always thought it was, but no one else thought so. :P
Are any of the showrunners or writers from the Netflix things involved in Echo or Born Again/whatever it becomes?

I find that actress painfully boring in everything she does
Boring character, boring actress, boring show
Iron Fist should be memory-holed
Agree to disagree.
The last two minutes of the show were amazing. Should've just started there.

I think Iron Fist, glorious train wreck and all, was at least more entertaining to watch unfold than half of the MCU shows have been. Most of them are just dull. Sometimes bad is better.
