T-mobile home internet experience?

deathnote666deathnote666 Registered User regular
Looking at getting T-mobile home internet.

I know it's highly location dependent but looking for reviews just the same.

I used to have Virgin Mobile/Sprint for years but the service turned terrible back in 2019 so I switched to Verizon.

Verizon home internet isn't in my area but T-mobile is.

Since T-mobile is Sprint, can anyone state whether they think their service is better now than it was in 2019? (I know, location dependent).

Anyone experience losing internet regularly, requiring a reboot of the gateway? Verizon service on my phone has required this across multiple phones.

Without going into my details, upgrading my internet to this service is the easiest option.

For those curious, my current internet is 3Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up. (the ultimate protection against hackers since they couldn't get my files even if they had access!)

Thanks

I don't use it personally, but my parents do, and it seems to work well. Speeds are pretty good and fairly reliable.

It's literally the only high speed option for me, based on where I live

On one hand, it's pretty consistent and fast

On the other hand, if you go over your high speed data limit, the speed is like DSL speed, and things do not work

My wife works from home, she literally cannot log in to her work stuff, which sucks tremendous shit

And there's not enough demand for our local tower to be a priority for whatever bullshit they need to do to allow truly unlimited high speed

And the customer service is terrible. No one will admit there's a problem, they just keep asking you to restart your modem.

If you're somewhere where you can get the actual modern day for real unlimited high speed connection, I imagine it's great.
