    S.A.T. TIME!

"Freaks and Geeks" is to Generation X what "The Wonder Years" was to The Baby Boomers.
"Undeclared" is the Generation X/Y interstitial College Experience.

    Both are very, very, good.

"Freaks and Geeks" is more of a drama and "Undeclared" is more a comedy.

Heck, where else are you going to have Biff Tannen as the gym coach, banging your mom on the side?

Loved Knocked Up, but didn't know Superbad was by the same guys. Looking forward to it.

Since I've heard about how hilarious Knocked Up is, I want to go see it, but it makes me think that the neighbor slut is going to go see it and think that having an unplanned baby is even more romantic.

I thought he quit doing reviews years ago. Shit, now I have to see it.

Yeah I remember he faked his own death then a while later he was like "Hey here's a new review." I think my favorite part is that he lives in Arvada and I'm over there all the time.

It could go wrong by having humour that doesn’t appeal to frat boys and teen-agers, I guess.

If you actually think this you really should hie thee to Netflix and get the first disc of "Freaks and Geeks." Seriously. Apatow's stuff is nothing like the "National Lampoon"/"Sorority Boys" stuff you're evidently thinking of. It's like you have two movies about relationships in New York, and one of them is "Maid in Manhattan" and one of them is Woody Allen's "Manhattan" - similar subjects, completely different approach.

Call me crazy, but I think you got his point wrong. I could be mistaken, but when you replace "go wrong" with "fail to be successful," it would seem that the two of you agree.

In fact, I don't think your interpretation fits unless you thought he made a typo somewhere.

Back on topic: Well, now I guess I'm gonna have to see all of these movies.

I was really in a great state of mind to enjoy all the stoner humor in the movie. It really resonated for me. Absolutely hilarious.

And I really don't understand what Flick Filosopher is ranting about. However, I probably don't have the most reliable recollection of the film.

Thanks, Thread. I had filed Knocked Up away on seeing the preview, no realizing who was behind it.

Saw it last night at midnight as a result, and it was pretty goddamn funny.

It's been awhile since I've laughed so hard I hard tears in my eyes just watching a trailer. The R rated (redstrip) trailer is great too, because it expands a bit on most of the exchanges and gives what's probably a more accurate look at the film.

I'm a frat boy...I like Judd Apatow...so do all my friends. If I had to make an uniformed stereotype I would say the majority of fans who watch shitty Lampoon movies or stoner movies are guys who didnt go to college or kicking it a trade school or community college. But...that would be an ignorant stereotype.

I made my boyfriend come with me to see Knocked up and he loved it. I don't get why all the guy I talk to about this movie are "eeew movie about pregnency" and won't even give this a chance D: It's definitly on my "good movie, let's see it again" list. Oh, and what's with everyone not liking the vegas scene? I was crying because I couldn't stop laughing. the part at the hotel was pure genius!!

I thought the dialogue between Pete and Ben at dinner was hilarious. I loved the Robert De Niro impressions.

Seth Rogen might be the new Will Ferrell.

But without all the being damn near unable to stop being an obnoxious asshole. I think Rogen is a much more low-key guy than Ferrell ever was, or likely ever will be.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's often hilarious, but without a good director and a good supporting cast, he's just obnoxious.

Uh, Clueless was a really good movie.

    Filthy on Vegas scenes:
Any time you see a movie where two characters just head to Vegas, it's a lazy filler and a cheap device to make otherwise lame plot points or crucial dialogue feel more sparkly

    I dunno,
shrooms and a French circus seem like a pretty good reason to me.

    Especially the
having important revelations about stupid shit you're doing in your life. I can't count how many times psychadelics have cleared my mind in exactly the same way they do in Knocked Up.
