And throat social.
Yeah that's the part of getting older for most people, why even bother with trolls when you can literally do anything else.

I'm not in favor of most trolling. I'm pro probiotics. There are a lot of people who would have benefitted from The Old Ways before modern fringes got ahold of them.
Anyway. That strip told a very relatable story. I quite Twitter in mid 2020 after having joined in 2009. People who I once thought were alright seemed to be addicted to strife. The whole site seemed to be addicted to awful mental hygiene.
Instagram has some benefits baked in. You can't attach a link to an Instagram post. You can't easily retweet someone's hot take. That negates much of the worst behavior. People find a way, but it's more difficult and less rewarding.
I used both very lightly, just checking out the areas I specifically subscribed/followed were up to.
Mastodon is similar, now just a shorter list. Goddamn FB though, local businesses use that instead of their websites to announce events so I just use my search history then nope outta the feed
I completely get that being on twitter can potentially benefit them since there is a large audience already here (potentially, because they're just as likely to go unnoticed, lost among the thousands of every other things vying for people's attention on there), but it wouldn't hurt to also have a website or something.
