World's Smallest Dungeon 2007

Fellow PAXers,

Last year, in Bellevue, you attacked the World's Smallest Dungeon time and time again. Some of you were turned away empty handed.

So you kept coming back. Damn!

One 3 x 3 foot dungeon just cannot stand the kind of pillaging PAXers subjected it to. You made the Dungeon your bitch, and it gave up its secrets, as you commanded.

NO LONGER.

The World's Smallest Dungeon *2007* isn't your average World's Smallest Dungeon. Its a little bigger, for one thing. This year's Dungeon will be 6 x 6 feet, allowing more space for you to fumble around looking for our magic items. And it is also enough space for you to calmly contemplate your existence lying in the fetal position after our Ewok-logs bust you on either side of the head. Oh, by the way, watch that tripwire, and stay low.

I told you this Dungeon was meaner. It features a tunnel that leads directly to an auto-bay, where ambulances for Harborview Medical Center await for all those who trip the booby-traps. We've got them on contract, so you'll need to show proof of insurance before entering the dungeon, or else you'll be required to sign a waiver that states you have healing potions, cure spells, or other means to attend to your own medical issues, whether they be accidental or as a result of getting plugged by hobgoblin archers.

All those killed in the Dungeon must agree to allow their remains to be used for promotional purposes, and their families will be sent free copies of The Critonomicon, courtesy of Technomancer Press. (Normal shipping rates apply)

Technomancer Press: High fatalities, low chances.

    I love this booth.

A PnP RPG Company's booth that had the "World's Smallest Dungeon" last year. You'd roll an int check, get a clue, then enter the dungeon trying to find the correct treasure from the clue.
The dungeon was a 3x3 room with one dresser in it, filled with a lot of different items. A pencil, a wand, a skull, a toy soldier, whatever. You have to search for the item they tell you to look for and find it within 30 (60?) seconds. Say you rolled a crappy 1. The hint would be "Harry Fire Starter" and the item would turn out to be a wooden stick (wand) hidden somewhere. On the other hand, if you roll a 20 the item would be "Grab that blue pencil out of the top drawer kthx."

Depending on the difficulty you chose (you can choose easy, medium, or hard), and if you win, you'd get varying prizes. 15% coupon off a book, a shotglass, or some other things I don't remember.

Oh man I totally skipped this last year, not because it didn't look cool, but because I was doing so much other stuff. i really need to get in on it this time.

Yeah, that was my problem, I am so doing it this year though. I plan on rolling a 20 and running in an out in 2 seconds. You all will see... you'll see. Either that, or I am going to roll very poorly and not get anything. Awww, now I made myself feel bad.

This was fun last year...I rolled double 20's. 20 for the clue and 20 for the prize.
