Dying body hair?

Yeah.

I'm somewhat hairy, but I wouldn't mind it at all if it were blonde. Is there, say, a way to dye it? You'd think it would work, since hair is hair, and since body hair doesn't grow past a certain point, I'd only have to do it again if the color fades. Possible?

Yes, it is possible to dye body hair. People dye their pubes all the time.

Well, maybe not all the time but it happens enough that... I... um... anyway!

Yes, it's possible. But dying all of your body hair is pretty damn extreme. I can't imagine somebody doing that.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

Just be careful, certain parts of the body will take less well to the harsh chemicals in hair dye.

Not pubes. Chest/belly hair is what I was thinking.

So now that we've established it's possible, how do I go about doing so? Should I just wipe myself down with lemon juice and sit in the sun (this is probably not the right idea)?

Man if your doing this to look less hairy why not just shave it? Seems like less work to me. On top of that I think it might look pretty weird if you had one hair color on your head and your body hair was all dyed a different color.

There's non-head-hair bleach out there; a lot of women use it to bleach the hair on their upper lip. I think Sally Hansen makes it? Even so, it grows out faster than you probably think it does.

Girl perspective: I like chest hair, and I'd be kind of weirded out to find out a guy bleached his body hair. Unless you've got a forest that you could lose children and small animals in, don't sweat it.

Use the Sally Hansen bleach, the bleached hairs shouldn't fade, but it will grow out and having half blonde/half dark chest hair may look a little funky. I'm not sure if salons do it, but if they do it might be best to go to a pro the first time. Don't use regular hair dye, you could stain or irritate your skin, and definitely do a patch/allergy test first. . .Incidentally there is "down-there" dye. . .

That's a daft idea. Unless your chest hair is so thick that it pokes through your shirts, there's nothing wrong, Models aren't normal!

If you're just lightening your hair all you need is a hair bleach. The most common ones are just peroxide based. The results depend on how dark your hair is naturally, and how strong the bleach formula is. When I used to mess with my hair, I'd get them in powder form in sachets, and mix it up in a bown into a thin paste. Start out with a weak mixture on a test patch of hair/skin and dont leave it on for more than 15 minutes, just to see how your skin and hair reacts. Increase time or concentration until you get the results you want.

For fun times, leave bleach on too long and watch your hair blow up into gummy fuzz that dries out into crispy flakes.

I did that and ended up with hair like Happy Gilmore's first caddy (not the hobo).
