Help me find a random quote I vaguely remember

About a year or so ago I recall coming across a quote that went something like, "If she didn't want the guilt then she would've done things differently". The general gist was that it was in response to someone asking if they should forgive someone for something and the quote was in response, clarifying that there's a difference between forgiving someone and letting them move on and live life as though they never did anything wrong in the first place.

Anyway, I've been trying to track it down to no avail, and figured I'd throw a random question out into the internet to see if someone happened to know.
