I've stalled out a few times in Balatro now when the blind hits 7.2 million
I just finished a run that just made it past that ante's boss blind (14.4 million).
I think the important part of my loadout here is Hologram (gains xmult based on deck size), Blueprint to copy it, and stuffing as many cards as possible into my deck.
Naturally, the following small blind demanded 300 million and I fell way short of that (I got 31.7M)
Man, Banishers grows on me more the more I play it. There's this small touch I noticed last night - a lot of houses have letters and journals and books, little bits and bobs to paint a portrait of the person who lives there. And in almost every house, there's a King James Bible. You get a prompt to pick it up and everything, even though it's always just a Bible.
At some point, without even fully clocking when, I started noticing whether or not someone had a Bible as due course of my investigation. I began to develop an AWARENESS of who did or didn't have a Bible out and visible. There is no mechanical incentive for me to do this, it's just... A thing that started happening in my brain.
Given that this game takes place in and around Puritan settlements, it's kinda cool that the game subtly rewired me like that!

My brother and I tried some MP Zomboid again. We learned about a command to teleport players to each other, so rather than spend hours stumbling around trying to find each other my brother beamed me to the house he was in. I went out the front door and found a group of about ten zombies attacking the car on the drive, panicked and ran. So my brother and I immediately got separated again. Led this horde on a chase around the neighbourhood, then some gunfire happened in the distance and thankfully lured a lot of them away and I was able to double back. Brother had moved to loot the neighbouring house by the point, so I went into the one on the opposite side of his spawn. A bit later he got swarmed and killed. I asked him "So, uh, what house were you in when that happened? I'm just curious how close all those zombies are to me." and he responded "Let me show you." and teleported me to his location, and I was immediately ripped to shreds.
I don't think the two of us are very suited to co-op gaming.

I believe the proper venue for that particular shame would be on a friend's laptop while waiting for your mom to pick you up from robotics

I have to remember to buy Hi-Fi Rush next time it's on sale. I never did the endgame stuff and I want to see if it actually does have a better feel when it's off Gamepass.
Wait why would it feel any different off gamepass? Do you mean gamepass pc or something? Does it run poorly on that?
I can't think of a game that's been in development longer, that hasn't been officially canceled
Your milage my vary but I feel like that one doesn't count. They basically stopped working on that game and then started up a new unrelated project and used the same name for it.

I have been picking away at the endgame stuff, doing a chapter or two and a [REDACTED] at a time instead of trying to mainline all the challenges in a row and getting frustrating.
I am not planning on doing a total completionist playthrough, but I want to complete [REDACTED] and get a costume change for every character.
It's in the Top 3 Best video game movies ever made.
What? Advent Children??

Actually managed to play Helldivers after work today. Work buddy joined me. He was very low level so I kinda felt like a badass escorting him through some levels. Got to introduce him to the horrors of Malevelon Creek.

name 3 to 10 video game movies with theatrical releases that are better than final fantasy 7 advent children challenge
1. Margot at the Wedding (an adaptation of Tekken 4)
2. Pride and Prejudice (2005) (an adaptation of Doom 2016)
3. Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, basically every Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Detective Pikachu, Werewolves Within, both Sonic movies, maybe that Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider
I haven't looked into Banishers at all but I did adore Vampyr as a game that demonstrated an early 2010s level of jank in a delightfully nostalgic way
The overwrought delivery on some of Jonathan's lines is a whole vibe in itself
I started it, it fell by the wayside, and then the pandemic hit so it wound up being the absolute correct game to play in early lockdown
Not knowing much about Banishers, I'm not sure if there will be an apocalyptically apt time to play it, but it feels like it could be a fun game for mid-summer once I conquer my mountain of backlogged games

I would pull up a chair to watch 1999 Torrent Filename: Real or Fake
This is absolutely a fake name, btw - lowercase d into lowercase b? Uppercase S to X? Myth Subs would NEVER.

All better than a 90 minute video game cinematic
There Will Be Blood (Wii Bowling)
Starship Troopers (EDF)
Dracula (Castlevania)
genuinely a baffling theatrical experience
Resident Evil gets you six of 'em right off the bat
you're thinking of scarface
Sadly intiall reports are it's pretty buggy/crashy right now, which is a goddamn shame, because it looks great
