Ghost Babel should be another MGS game brought back. It did wonders with the Game Boy back then and while non-canon, it actually kind of slots as a prequel to MGS2.

Hey steam thread! Haven't been here for awhile, but wanted to say thanks @Jragghen for hooking me up with spongebob cosmic shake!
Its still super early access, only really having one map past the demo (hey, there's a demo) but I fucking love games where you base travel with you, and this base is a Chicken Legged Hut.
It's also Slavic as hell, which I think is a rich myth and lore that doesn't get nearly enough focus.

Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.

It was one thing when everybody was talking about Starfield and angry but at least they they were talking about it, Bethesda could say that much. I think the complete apathy Shattered Space has been met with on the other hand is quite something.
Its like a tumbleweed going through a ghost town almost.
Tactical Breach Wizards was awesome, but it's slightly ruined Rogue Trader for me. I keep doing things like attacking before I buff, but it's ok I can just rewind and... oh right, no rewind. Give a bonus attack to this character, but they can't see an enemy to attack, ok I'll just rewind and give that attack to someone else... oh right, no rewind. That looks dangerous, what happens if I run through it? Oh it kills me? Well I'll just rewind... dammit.

one of the things that the anti woke chuds keep knocking out the way in their stampedes is that a lot of interesting stories out of european and west asian histories get left behind when the market chases king Arthur, the crusades, "historical accuracy," and shit copies of LoTR

Just like Ubisoft they forgot that what made their worlds good wasn't *size*, it was *detail.* Starfield is that video of the lady with the tape measure. "Eight inches? Really? Where do you think that's going?"
the sad thing is that there are a fuckton of media properties that even the chuds from previous pages would approve as smaller scope open world games instead of the infinite space sandbox.

space colony with portals in several buildings leading to a different real of many angled ones (the bureau was sweet)
It's also important to be better at something than the competitors in your space. And like star field isn't better than elite dangerous or no mans sky in their respective areas. It's honestly like Pokemon clones. They all try so hard to follow the same formula but they don't do anything interesting or well enough to carve out their own thing.
While there's little new stuff about the game itself, there is some stuff to look forward to. The game's vertical slice is apparently mostly done, and they're looking to make a demo similar to it once it is. They expect the demo to be ready in early 2025. As well, they're hoping to have the proper early access launch in late 2025.

Had my deck for less than a month but think I'm already in on the inevitably pricey Steam Deck 2 at launch.
I rarely played my Switch in handheld mode (plenty docked tho) but I've been basically been living on my couch with my Deck. I'm primarly a PC gamer so guess once I could put my steam library in my hands, everything just finally clicked.
Got some steam keys from humble choice, think I'm going to systematically hunt down people on my friend lists/groups right quick like The Predator.
How lovely to have been included in this giftening!
Big thanks, @Dr. Chaos, for Jusant! The climbing in this looks very satisfying, and seems well regarded round these parts by the folks who have played. Very much appreciate the chance to check it out!
Speaking of liberated titles, I'm still waiting for Last Of Us to drop under $30 before I snag it. I know I'll be waiting a while

Today I played through the demo of Radical Rabbit Stew, and immediately bought the game.
This is a charming 16-bit inspired light puzzle game about using a chef's wooden spoon to defeat evil rabbits who kidnapped the rest of your kitchen staff. From an overworld map, you complete stages where the objective is to bat these furry villains, occasionally yourself, around the map and sometimes off a series of spring-loaded plungers like Sonic the Hedgehog, to destroy obstacles and ultimately land all the rabbits in stew pots to complete the level.
I've played some more of the full version, including three inventive boss fights, clearing the first "world" of the map and most of the beach and pirate themed area that opened up. The levels rarely feel too easy to figure out, mostly when a new mechanic is added and it's obviously the way to move forward. And so far, never feel like they're being overly obtuse.
I'll play some more of it after I install and try out the other games I purchased. Meantime, I have no reservations about recommending this. One of the best retro-style games I've played on Steam.

Playing Cities Skylines is a good way to show myself that I truly have no idea how to lay out a proper city. Like, certain things are fine, but my traffic is all jammed up at places that mean half my businesses can't get the goods or workers they need to stay open, and somehow I keep on having waves of losing money and gaining it, and I'm not entirely sure why.
But oddly enough, everything is technically still going "right".

Vampire Survivors but you're Jackie Chan, and you unlock different martial arts moves to string together into a repeating combo, whilst grabbing and kicking everything around you to use as an improvised weapon in the downtime.

I naively thought it was actually a game staring Jackie Chan till I read more.

I got side tracked by Ghost of Tsushima and learning how to play guitar. I really should get back to Spiderman before the sequel releases on PC.
The writing is better too
Expectations were high.

Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2
Never before has a boss done a better job of backing up a threat. Getting my ass handed to me in Y0 on hard after a bout of overconfidence.
