I've been interviewing for a promotion within the company. My chances of getting it seems to be pretty high. It would more than double my salary but would definitely be a more stressful job. That's not really the issue I have, though.
I would have to relocate from Ohio to Texas if I were to get this position. My partner of the last decade has changed their mind regarding relocating and said she will not make the move with me. She mentioned long distance but I don't know how that would work out.
I regret taking it this far and having people go to bat for me now.
There's no way I make the move without her, so there's no way I accept an offer. I feel like I could sale it to her but that's not fair because her reasons for not wanting to move across the country like that are very legitimate and understandable.
Maybe if this doesn't work out I can be made a mod here?
Had to leave the hotel I booked for this vacation. Saw a roach crawling about, asked to move to a different building, the room was checked ahead of time, and then I went in to the new room to see visible dirt on the bed. Could only get a partial refund, and then the room I booked at a different hotel doesn't have a fridge, so I'm losing a bit of food.
I honestly wasn't having the best day before and then only saw the roach once I was a GOOD BIT into a puzzle I had just bought. I'm honestly mostly annoyed my quiet evening with a puzzle was ruined.
