Help with ebay and Paypal

So, I've decided to sell my Xbox, PS2 and a whole bunch of games for each.

I figure ebay is my best bet, with a Paypal account to receive payments. The thing is, I'm having genuine difficulty understanding how the hell Paypal works. Usually I can get my head round this stuff but I'm pretty confused by it, and I don't want to have any difficulties once I get up and running, as I have quite a lot of stuff I want to sell. So, if any of you can answer my various questions or otherwise direct me to a seller's guide, that would be awesome:

So I've signed up for the basic account. What info do I need to add to it so that I can receive payments? Say I sell something on ebay, how does that money get into my account? I know this is really obvious stuff to most people, but God Damn am I baffled by it all.

Do I need to attach bank details, or a credit card number to access any money I make?

I'm in the UK if that makes any difference to what I need to be doing!

Thanks folks!

Basically you give Paypal your bank account information, and now you have a "real life" account to draw your Paypal funds out of when people pay you.

That's one side of the coin. The second part is people paying you. When they win your auction, they will send you a Paypal payment. Essentially on their side they've registered a Bank Account/Credit Card with Paypal so Paypal takes money from their Bank Account/Credit Card, and sends it to your Paypal account.

Now, when you withdraw the funds, depending on how much funds there are, Paypal will deposit your balance (or however amount you want to withdrawl) into the bank account you registered with them, and take a fee for their service.

I'm a bit of a seasoned Ebayer, so if you have any questions, feel free to pm me. Hope this gives you the basics.
