I remember, as a child, some sort of VHS documentary of Russian wildlife? Or something like that. And it had a section on Lake Baikal. Maybe from the Nature Conservancy or something, I don't know.

I don't remember much from it now, but I do remember it existing. I watched it several times as a child, we didn't have shit for tapes to watch.

There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea.

Probably a UFO landing beacon for seal gathering expeditions.

Don't worry little seal friends, we are working very hard to melt enough glaciers to some day reconnect you with your distant ocean family. :+1:

The seals originated in the lake

How did they get to the sea is the question

they evolved from humans like all seals

They take off their skins to walk in human form across the land and don their skins again to resume their watery lives

during this time you can nab an unattended sealskin to have a human form wife of a seal

Can you explain how this works using pokemon terminology?

    but they're not a man, they're a seal boo

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

you know those fish cannons that send fish up dams? one of those but it's really long and wide enough for a seal

Fun fact: apparently how the fuck they got there is an actual mystery and zoologists aren't really sure either. (The running theories is that maybe there were some other lakes connecting it to the ocean before? Maybe???)

They've been hanging out in the lake for two million years, though, so if they're selkies then presumably they're Homo erectus. Fuckers made it all the way to a landlocked lake in Russia while humans weren't even close to evolving down in Africa (H. sapiens is just 300,000 years old).

It’s more of a chute really. Incredibly smooth, as with all seal engineering.

They evolved in isolation, from single celled organisms to seals, right there in the lake.

You can have lots of things. Whether the seal agrees is another matter.

I have no information on your daily leakage output to compare it to.

Please collect all leakage for 1 week and get back to me with the weight and volume of the leakage.

Coloration of the leakage is also important!
