Making Bongi a celebrity - well not really, but I almost got in trouble
Hi everyone. I'm a videogame tester. Through a series of strange circumstances, today, I am the only person working, from 8 this morning to 5 PM. I also happen to be extremely hungover and running on about 3 hours of sleep. Needless to say, I don't WANT to be here.
An interesting door is open, though. I'm the only person in this vast office space filled with at least 200 desks and as many computers. Now I'm supposed to spend these 9 hours just testing this one game that's got a deadline tomorrow morning. But I'd rather have some fun.
So show me your worst, SE++. Give me suggestions on how to seize the day.
And no, I will not say which company I work for, that could get me in quite a bit of trouble. I realize it's kind of ironic to say that considering what the point of this thread is.
Kill yourself in the most confusing way possible and let them figure out how you did it.
YES.
Any one got good patterns for a pentagram? I'd also need one of those invisible markers to write a riddle on that poster over there.
Dude, ever play Indigo Prophecy?
If your death isn't TWICE as confusing as that, I'll hate you forever. Get to it.
I haven't played that, actually.
Maybe I could go out and find the game somewhere, steal it, take it back here, go to the break room, put it in the PS2, play it, figure out a death twice as confusing as that, and set it in action.
I love how whenever someone mentions Montreal and game companies, everyone always assumes Ubisoft. There are quite a few other major developers in this city.
I'm neither confirming nor denying that I work for Ubisoft.

Well, its like the only good one there.
So like if you don't work for them you probably should anyway, right?

Change it.
Actually, there are 6 big comfy couches just over there.
Sleep would be great. But not fun.
It's MISCHIEF I want, Internet.
Should I take off my pants? They seem optional right now.
IT'LL BE WILD AS HELL
I think you have misconceptions concerning what "Not doing my job" means for a tester.
I guess I could spend today randomly trying to guess 200 people's XP passwords.
Pornographic Screen Savers.

Or... you could guess the admin password, boot in to safe mode, and do it that way.
edit: failing that, throw a computer containing the source code out of a window. The effect is much the same.
Don't have access to the code, and the Internet wouldn't care, but I'd still get fired. So that's a small flaw in your plan.
[:-D
I guess I could spend today randomly trying to guess 1 person's XP password and change 199 people's XP passwords.
Y'know, I have this DS just sitting on my desk with EBA in it.
Maybe I could do a quick bug-finding trip through it.
flaw shmaw, think of the people!
Elite Beat Agents is always a good plan.
Go with that.
YES.

Well, its like the only good one there.

Edit: Or switch the cables for the monitors

We don't have those in Canada. Are they good?
it's chocolate water
it's delicious
Wait wait. Wait.
Wait.
Chocolate WATER?
Wait what?
There's chocolate milk, that's good, yeah. Chocolate water though?
It's like my world is turned upside-down here. I didn't know you could flavor water with chocolate.
there might be some milk in it
there's a lot of shit in it
but mostly chocolate and water
