Nuts on Brownies

They don't belong there. Put them in a dish to the side if deviants want to deface their brownies. I think we all agree that this is true and correct although I will still eat a brownie with nuts it's just not as good.

    I love roasted Walnuts. Sometimes I roast my own, do different salt and herb combinations.

    Hate them in and/or on brownies. Hate them anywhere near chocolate. Salt + chocolate = good. Salt+ walnut = good. Chocolate + walnut = bad. It's just basic math.

    I used to dislike them. And there are times when I want a smooth brownie still. But sometimes I want the crunch and texture change

    The best brownie I ever had was just a cake brownie layer on the bottom, a layer of peppermint bark in the middle, and a layer of fudgey brownie on top. The brownie layers were about 2cm each and the peppermint was about 1cm, so it was just the right ratio of mint to chocolate and it was an absolute textural delight.
