    I am for some reason bothered by the bolding of "school" in the first panel. I can't make it fit an emphasis I'd use.

    This kind of reminds me of how the show Lost ended. After 6 seasons of mystery, conflict, and meta-physical build up, it all came down to Jake pulling a huge plug to drain an underground spring. Yeah, kind of anti-climactic.
