Forza 2 Penny Arcade car

So, we all know by now (hopefully) how amazing the customization system is in Forza 2. So, I was thinking about doing a Penny Arcade car. I'll put the PA logo, the PAX logo, Gabe, Tycho, and probably fruit fucker on there. Any ideas about poses, positions, or other things that should go on? I'm really no creative person, but I'm good at seeing something and putting it onto cars or paper or whatever.
btw, here's my gamefaqs car i made, if you aren't aware of some of forza 2's abilities: right side left side top

Seeing as I came to this board to take a break from writing my thesis on corporate identity, I'm gonna be the first (probably the only one) to mention that distorting logos is a big no-no. If I were Gamefaqs, I would not approve of the left side of the car where the .com curves around the wheel well.
Also, I'd put the company name on every face of the car. You're missing the front and the back, I'd be angry if I pay you to run with that car... then someone takes a picture of the front for a magazine cover and the logo is not there.
In short, you just threw graphics on a car, but I'm not sure you thought about anything other than making your car look cool. Turning alternate media into corporate advertisement has a lot of 'do's' and 'dont's'... but most of them are 'dont's'... just look at the amount of limitations placed on regular paper media!!! Also, check this page out for more on logo and color management.
There isn't anything innovative about this car.... it looks nice... but then again all corporate ads look nice. What makes yours diffrent?

damn, was that really necessary? they never paid me to do it, in fact, they don't even know i did it. you can't really put much of anything on the front bumper, and yes, i did it to look good, why the fuck else would i do it? it's not an ad, just a car i made.

Uh. I assumed it was just something he threw together so he could say to one of the communties he frequented "hai guys look what I managed to do hahahaha".
He's asking for suggestions about a potential PA-themed car in Forza 2, not for feedback about his sample car. I think it was for the benefit of people like me who were oblivious to that sort of functionality in the game.
Yeah, it really is a shame that posting art on an art critique board garners critiques about the art, isn't it?
No, what's a shame is that we've now had five replies that don't, you know, address the point of the OP.
oh god that makes me part of the problem
and the fact that he's a "mod" and this isn't specifically about being douchey about other people's art. "artist's corner" does not mean come be an asshole.

You could easily apply toasters crit to your next car, anything "suggestion wise" would really amount to what toaster is saying about placement and understanding of how to make the logos more effective and such. If you aren't looking for artistic advice, and looking more for "Put div on there." couldn't you just post this in club PA?
"Artist's Corner" does mean checking out the rules before you post:
If you've just got a general question to ask, drop it in the Questions/Discussion thread. Otherwise, if you just feel like being social, swing by the Chat thread. New topics with no art in them are extremely likely to get locked, so keep that in mind.
Without something to comment on, what sort of feedback to you expect to receive?
"You should put the Penny Arcade logo on the car and also maybe pictures of Gabe and Tycho."
You've told us you're going to put some Penny Arcade graphics on a car and all we have to go by is what you did to the GameFAQs car which is pretty bland.

The whole point of the forum is critiques. It is not for making threads about "what should I make", or "I'm going to do X, stick around and you might just see it!" or "come see my webcomic!" or "I need somebody to draw a tattoo for me, help a brother out", or any other random thing. It's for criting art. We have a questions/discussion thread and a chat thread for anything that does not fall into that category.
Therefore, if you post a thread with your art in it, that art gets critiqued. That's how it works. No ifs, ands, or buts.
What MT said about the advertising thing was straight up solid advice: you're making art, skinning a car to look like an ad. As such, a critique suggesting what could be done to make that idea more effective is exactly the sort of response that is to be encouraged. And, I might add, is something you probably should think about when doing the next car. Unless you think the Gamefaqs or Penny Arcade logos are just incredibly pretty regardless of conext, it is hard to defend using them simply as a purely aesthetic choice. It's there to make it look like a sponsored car, so you should think about how to make it work effectively as a sponsored car.
Meh, I thought this was going to be one of those community project threads, but it appears I'm trying to defend the guy who just said a mod was acting like an asshole
...I'll be standing over there. Staring at the floor.
No one has been a douche bag. Have you read any other threads in this forum? Douche-baggery can be handed out to those who deserve and you my friend have not even seen the tip of the douche bag iceberg. Hell, you're not even near it but you sure are asking the locals how to get there.
As to what MagicToaster was saying, it was nothing but help. Telling you about vehicular advertisement is going to help you make your car look more realistic. Advertisement design is basically what you are doing and your doing a piss-poor job of it.
To answer your questions, in putting someone else's design on your car it's best to stick with what they already use. You are going to want it to be recognizable, so stick with the main color schemes and current artwork that the site uses. (However, I don't think you should make a PA car. Why not get creative and create something yourself?)
If you're too fucking stupid to read the post that says "RULES! READ BEFORE ANYTHING!!!" and post shitty ass car skins and ask for suggestions to make another shitty ass car skin but you don't care enough to listen to input, you can pretty much just fuck off and mince along right out of the artist corner cause this place isn't where you can get your ass playfully smacked while listening to sugar coated comments.
You have to be really good for that here.
And you are not.
Edcrab, maybe read the rules again if you think the OP is being treated unfairly.
But it is important to make a distinction here. I looked at the OP's post history, it's pretty much all PAX forum posts.
This is not the PAX forum, and the rules and general attitude are nothing like the PAX forum. It's an art board first and foremost. Whether or not you are a fan of Penny Arcade or video games in general is pretty much irrelevant here.
My analogy would be this: You saw some guys swinging on ropes, thought it looked fun, got in line to try it out. Only thing is, you imagined they were swinging ropes for fun on a playground; you failed to realize they were swinging ropes as part of an obstacle course in an Army boot camp, and are wondering just why you are getting yelled at and oh god why do I have to run a mile and climb up a wall? Because playgrounds and boot camps have different purposes, that's why.
That said: now that all that has been cleared up to what I hope is everyone's satisfaction, we can all get on with our lives and we can all be happy and the AC people can do the AC thing in here and get on with the buisness of being helpful in the patented AC rough-housing critique way without all the anger and angst and bullshit.
Friends, everyone?
EDIT: Also, it looks like several people already made Penny Arcade themed cars in the G+T Forza 2 thread.
You are all invited to my birthday party. That is, everyone who read the bloody rules is invited to my birthday party. There will be a pony and not one but two clowns. I'm thinking about a bouncy castle too.

Make it better than the GameFAQs car.
AHAHAHAHA
Read the rules, mate. Also, the AC is pretty much the most assholish board here, and for good reason.

To be fair, Toaster accurately critiqued the GF car but didn't comment on how that could be brought across to any potential PA concept.
yeah I'm fishing now, leave me be
