For those who did want to know, he was permabanned from twitch years ago. Rumors had swirled as to why. Recently, a former Twitch employee alleged (without naming him by name, but you know how that works) that it was because he had knowingly sexted a minor in Twitch DMs, including asking about her plans for attending TwitchCon (random aside: he later publicly confessed to cheating on his wife at said TwitchCon).

His reply to this allegation is that he did "nothing illegal" but was “having mutual conversations with a minor that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate.”

That has been my choice thus far as well. I assume at some point I will no longer be able to avoid the situation, but I'm putting that off as long as possible.
