There might not be too many threads that are... slightly more questionable than this, but who gives a fuck? Most certainly not I.
The backstory:
I wear boxer briefs. I just say no to regular boxers regular briefs. I am a size 30 waist, and I am a runner. My size probably fits right in between that small/medium size. I wore the hell out of the Hanes/Fruit of the Loom undies I had, so I am in the market for some undercarriage support.
The question:
Do the leg openings in nicer brand briefs lose their stretchiness like the cheap ones do? I bought some of those Hanes boxer briefs recently with the comfort waistband. Christ do those leg openings stretch out to some ridiculous proportion. There is nothing I hate more than making adjustments with the legs/leg openings, especially when wearing pants/jeans.
I am looking to do this on the cheap (within reason, maybe 10-15 dollars a pair), because I have a lot of drawers that would lead people to think that I was the Pope because they were so holy. I know the usual places to look on the intarwebs (freshpair, for one) but I didn't pull the trigger.
Your post is kind of confusing, could you clarify? What exactly are you looking for? Good, cheap brands of boxer-briefs that don't stretch? Fruit of the Loom has some of the best underwear you can get, and they're cheap. If you're looking for something tighter, Calvin Klein and Hilfiger are tighter, because they're somewhat meant to...show your stuff.

If you're a runner, that should be irrelevant because you should have running shorts with a liner, not running with boxer briefs on.

Yea, I tried some Polo Ralph Laurens and the elastic does lose its strength over time pretty much the same way. They stay soft feeling longer though. Replace everything at the 1-year mark. If you're keeping them longer than this, that might be your problem? Secondly, since you are halfway between sizes (you said), they might feel loose for that reason.
Has anyone notice, since we are talking about underwear, you can not find variety of underwear online other than boxers or XXX.

When I say I am a runner, I meant that I run recreationally, although I would probably be well served to buy those shorts that you mentioned. I mentioned that to give the impression that I have a big ass/legs. (5'9", 155-160, most of it downstairs)
Anyway, it was more or less a question about the leg hole/leg opening thing. After about an hour or so the legs ride up and things get uncomfortable up there, regardless of what clothes I am wearing (pants/jeans/shorts). I was wondering if that was a function of the quality of the underwear that I have been buying or if it's a universal thing. I just don't want to make the wrong decision and end up with the same problem again, except this time it cost more.
Funny. I'm pretty much exactly your size (5'9", 165lbs). I have found that Hanes Classics tend not to ride up as much as Jockey or the soft band Hanes although they still get stretched out. Sometimes it's actually a welcome side-effect of lots of walking/running and helps get some air circulating in those places. My girlfriend thinks I look dumb in them when they're all stretched out so I usually just throw on a fresh pair after a day of work/school.
