Eh, I feel that if you install any game/software in this genre on your machine, you are getting exactly what you deserve for doing so. Gacha cancer gon' gacha cancer.

Didn't they do basically this exact comic but for Genshin Impact?

Possibly also combined with this one from a short bit after, which has a similar punch but different flavor of relationship to the game.

The gacha mechanics for ZZZ are almost exactly the same as Genshin and Honkai Star Rail (maybe also Honkai Impact? I never played it). There's a couple additional things but it's like 95% the same with the names swapped.
I tried it out. The story is instantly insane and all over the place, and doesn't make any sense.
Game: "Choose between boy character or girl character."
Game: "Play as some other character, and not the one you just chose."
The whole Proxy setup is a little weird. You don't use them in combat, but they are there for the exploration part.
On the plus side from a story/character standpoint they're way better than the MCs in Genshin and Honkai Star Rail.
Genshin you're basically a mute cipher who lets the annoying mascot character do all the talking.
HSR was an improvement in that the mascot character was a just a barely there side thing and you got some lines and even voiced dialogue, but it wasn't much better.
In this one both the male and female MCs are characters who like, say stuff all the time, and are both present at the same time in the story instead of just being a choice you make at the beginning that causes the other to disappear.
Also in Chapter 2 one of the cutscenes ended with a character doing a brofist with an excavator.
I'll take credit for that. On one of the Honkai Star Rail feedback forms I complained that they got VAs for the MC and then gave them like 1% of the spoken lines. They must have listened to me because I'm so influential and persuasive.

And now I will continue my life as though I had never known of this game's existence.
