France is making people swim in the disgusting river and Macron won't relinquish power to the leftist government that won the election because he doesn't want any chaos. I'm sure that will stop the country famous for it's protests and that all timed out when they should shit in the river for the Prime Minister and Mayor taking a swim in it.

The opening ceremonies are tomorrow which I don't care about, but the sports have started. If you're in the US Peacock seems like the best way to watch the Olympics if not you'll have to watch what they're willing to put on NBC, USA, and NBC Sports if that still exists, I don't know what all channels they own anymore.

There was soccer yesterday and I'm watching USA vs. Uruguay in Rugby right now. US scored a quick try, but Uruguay didn't take long to respond. Perry Baker had a great game to take US to the win, LaCamp also had a great performance.

On the plus side cities are starting to balk at the cost of building new stuff and are saying they're going to use stuff that already exists and hopefully they'll start moving toward the next world cup where it's hosted between the US, Mexico, and Canada where there are already stadiums big enough to hold the games.

I also don’t love any of the games that require judge scoring because it’s so clearly biased at times. I like when there is a clear winner that has nothing to do with opinion.

I watch like 2 games of Hockey, 1 game of Canadian Football, and 0.25 games of Basketball and Soccer on any given year.

Yeah the athlete's parade isnt doing it for me, but all these little musical segments have been great so far and I've been enjoying the random assassin's creed character running the torch along the various set ups.

Just feels very strange cutting between two wildly different parts of the ceremony
