I've accepted I'm bad at music and everything related so bad pitch or whatever is not bothering me.

What stuff struck you as noticeably different from the one we went on? I know that was the oldest ship in the RC fleet. I’m curious what the newer and bigger ships offer.

    Today in Pathfinder 2e

The party spent the day before the assassination was supposed to happen drinking together on the recreation car and filling in the new player's character on what had transpired in the campaign up until that point. They got to just do some social roleplay for about two and a half hours before the next day at noon when the assassin attacked.

The party of 7 was split up with 6 of them playing a card game in the dining car while the last person was in the recreation car drinking. The assassin snuck past the one in the recreation car and threw a fireball bead into the dining cart and blasted the rest of the party (sans the gunslinger who is immune to fire due to a curse) and the explosion blew out all the windows and severely damaged the train car. The cleric went into healing mode, melees chased down the assassin and eventually after getting in some good hits the assassin had to quaff the invisibility potion and reassess. The train had started to hit the brakes because it was under attack and the party's monk grabbed the assassin target ( a halfling ) and dove out a window to try to put some distance between the target and the assassin.

The assassin chased them outside and managed some more crits on the target and softened him up. They whittled the assassin down to 8 hit points before he plugged the target and put him down for dying 1 and then he double tapped him to put him at dying 3 and then shot the train with explosive ammo to finish off the train car and derail all the cars behind it. I asked the assassin target player to choose high or low to determine if the train would roll left off the tracks or right off the tracks and potentially crush him to death. The train managed to miss the target (he chose high for his direction and the d20 was a 10, one away from crushing him) and the party's monk threw the assassin under the train on the tracks so he would get crushed to death but the party's magus hit him with force fang and took his last two hit points. In the end, the whole party survived and the assassin died and burned away to a crisp. Unfortunately, most of his loot will have been run over by a train. Now, the party gets to see if there are any survivors of the six cars that detached and derailed in the attack.

    They're now level 8.

Hah, I actually never had any problem with this

Which I attribute 100% to spending way too much time playing Rock Band rather than me being any good at the musics

I spent a shit ton of time playing guitar hero, but it's very different trying to keep a consistent strum pattern going without interrupting that while changing chords than it is to hit the skittle vomit. Especially when the skittle vomit made for convenient kind of visual metronome while the 'chords' were just a few buttons.

The most fun song so far I've been practicing strumming timing so far is La Cucaracha.

Oh for sure, I wasn't trying to say it's the same by any means

But Guitar Hero had utterly shit charting after Harmonix stopped doing it which was everything after Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero Rock the 80s. They refocused their charting and came up with a series of rules they tried to consistently follow with Rock Band 1/2/3/4/Rivals and I feel like that that did actually help me a lot when I started trying to learn to play a six string guitar.

Though the biggest help was probably that by the time I started playing a real guitar I had a larger range and independance of motion with the fingers on my left had than my right hand despite being right handed.

So I think the main thing that's getting in the way for me is like touch typing, I can do it until my brain says 'wait where is that key?' and I have to look down and it fucks me up.

I'll be strumming away roughly in time, doing the occasional chord change, and then my brain say's 'wait where are your fingers?' and I lose the rhythm and I need to get my bearings again.

I’m so tired I’m nauseous to the point of feeling close to vomiting. I haven’t had a night off for a full week now. And this night gave me about 3.5 hours of sleep.
