    My wife took Ambien once for some bad insomnia after a health issue.

    Once and once only.

    Her visual hallucinations were *spectacular.* They were disconcerting enough that she refused to take it ever again.

    When she mentioned it at the law firm where she worked, two of the attorneys AND A JUDGE all asked her if she would give them her leftover doses. We never figured out if they wanted it for sleep or ....entertainment purposes, I suppose.
