Hi, I thought I'd put this out there to see if I'm missing something stupid before I take my computer back to the shop.
specs:
Intel E4300 Core Duo
1GB RAM
Nvidia 7950 GT 512MB video card
Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI motherboard
1 IDE 160GB HD
1 IDE 60GB HD
I just got my PC back from a local computer repair place, they installed a new MB, video card and CPU for me. It worked at their shop this afternoon, but when I try it here I can't get Windows to load. It goes through the post stuff, then the "Windows was not shut down properly" screen, and no matter what I pick the whole thing just reboots. If anyone has any ideas why it worked at the shop and not here I'd greatly appreciate hearing them. Thanks.
I just fixed my ancient p4 253 box with a new motherboard (woot 7 dollars) and I get sort of the same thing. Windows loads up but then the machine does an auto reboot. I think I just need to reinstall windows but we shall see. Have you tried to start up with safemode showing you where it crashes?

They didn't get it right.
Alternatively: Open it up and make sure all parts are installed and seated properly. Also check your MB screws, make sure they're tight to the case.
