PS2 Controller Ports Behaving Strangely

It may be because it just wants me to keep rocking hard washboard style all day, every day, but my PS2 Slim has decided to not recognize any controller aside from the Red Gibson from GH2 in the first port. Everything in the other one is fine and dandy, though.

Any ideas?

    My slim ps2 has also started doing weird things, and oddly enough also with Guitar Hero. The first one, though. It still recognizes the (regular) controller, but its been not detecting it a couple times with other games and I had to take it out and plug it back in. The Ps2 also corrupted my Guitar Hero save but nothing else :( .
