New Will Smith movie coming out in December. Based on a novel by Richard Matheson apparently this is the third movie to use the subject material, the first 2 being The Last Man on Earth, and The Omega Man.


"In 2006, the KV virus is developed in a laboratory, but the virus mutates out of control, changing the world's population into bloodthirsty creatures. Three years later, former military scientist Robert Neville (Will Smith) is working in Manhattan, since quarantined, to develop a cure for the pandemic. Neville finds himself to be the only uninfected human on the island, if not the world."

    Definitely looks similar. I for one am all about post apocalyptic movies. This one has vampires instead of zombies. Totally different.

    Why does the beginning look so much like War of the Worlds

    Again we get to see will smith's glistening body (I, Robot) and again he drives a pristine vehicle (Bad Boys Syndome) in an environment where there should be none (Motorcycle w/gas in a non gas vehicle world). I wonder if he will show us his shoes again and let us listen to some of his music. O, treat us to your fanciful knowledge Fresh Prince and let us behold the glory that is the things you like.

    For a second I thought that the movie title was what was on the poster. That would be ridiculous.

    I was more interested in this when Johnny Depp was going to be involved as the villain, but Will Smith is alright so this still looks kinda cool

    I haven't seen either of those other movies or read the novel, so it'll all be new to me

    I figure it's pretty much just like that Treehouse Of Horror episode though

    I want to make a movie like this but in the first 20 seconds Will Smith dies and the rest of the time is spent with the dog running around the city killing zombie vampires.

    It's not even a novel. It's like 200 pages. You should read it, good stuff.
