Anyone bought one of these?

I have the cash and want a 360 - looks to be the cheapest option...

Any thoughts?

    Don't buy it pre-owned.

It's too risky. Especially now that Microsoft bans actual consoles from Live.

    Aye,

But I'll get a receipt - and if they fob me off with a banned console i'll get a replacement...mind you I don't think I'll be going on live...

Amazon have a decent deal on atm, not as good as the one they has a few weeks ago sadly.

Get the console for £269.96 delivered, and then choose from either "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 & Rainbow Six Vegas" or "Forza 2" for an additional £10.

so if you go for GRAW2 and R6:Vegas, it's the console and two top games for £280.

    £280 is a fair wack...

I quite like the idea of getting the preowned premium 360 and Ghost Recon for £200 ...

a short while ago, amazon had a real cracking deal on -
    Xbox 360 premium,
    2 Wireless controllers,
    Crackdown,
    Gears of War,
    PGR3,
    XBLA unplugged vol. 1
    & any other game

    for £299.99 delivered.

I say wait around until a similar deal is available, I would be shocked if no retailers did a similar deal in the next month or so.

Play.com have a similar deal, but with C&C instead of Crackdown, they used to do the Crackdown deal though.

    Here; Linkage.

    Xbox 360 Premium Console

    Gears of War
    Project Gotham Racing 3
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
XBox Live Arcade Unplugged Vol. 1

    20GB Hard Drive
    2 Wireless Controllers
    Headset - Voice Communicator
Component HD AV Cable (with SCART adaptor)

    £299.99

That is quite a lot of gaming thrown in. Free shipping. Play are usually pretty quick too.

Damn, that completely flew by without me noticing. That's going on the blog, cheers for the heads up ;-)

Edit: I just clocked it's missing the "and any other game" but it's still a decent offer

It's probably a Core, so not nearly as good as it looks. I wouldn't buy a 360 pre-owned regardless, there are way too many potential pitfalls.

Nah, thats a Premium, they do a pre-owned Core with TWO games for £150. But I'd agree on the "buy it new" thing.

IMO; go for the Play deal, better to avoid any potential problems with a used unit, with those extra games, for the extra cash. If I didn't already own a 360, I'd have coughed up by now at that pricepoint.

Well, it doesn't matter what it is after it red-lights :P

Yeah I stealth'd a warning into that post.

Mind you, I'm still sporting a Euro launch 2005 model. And it has seen a lot of gaming, with no troubles.

    ...yet...
