512-1 GB will do. Remember, Micro not Mini.

Kingston is both good and cheap. Grab their 1GB card off of Newegg.

Any card that says SD-C01G JAPAN on it is a rebranded Toshiba card made in Japan and will have ridiculously fast transfer times, making it very useful for (for instance) DS homebrew. The Kingston I grabbed from Newegg was a SD-C01G and it works really really well in my EzFlash V. Not all of them are, though; some are Korean-made, lower quality cards and there's no way to tell until you open it. Still, even the Korean ones aren't that bad.

What are you using the card for?

Storage on my new Upstage (it came with a 64MB card). I don't have a lot of music, so 1 GB will do.

For a phone or MP3 player, just get any old shit, since transfer times don't matter. Go over to Newegg, search MicroSD, pick a size, and pick the cheapest one.

edit: and for God's sake never buy a goddamn SanDisk anything, they're overpriced garbage.

Yeah, I went with the Kingston. 8 bucks for 1 GB sounds nice.
