Note: mods feel free to move this since I don't know what the hell I am doing
I have been watching deathnote and have got an incredibly stupid question about episode 2. For people that dont know deathnote is an anime that is very original (at least from my perspective), in that the plot centers around a diary with special properties. If anyone writes the name of someone in the diary (while picturing their face) that person will die.
Episode 2 poses a unique problem. Without giving to much away, the protagonist kills the wrong person using the deathnote. This creates a unique problem, in that the deathnote killed somebody while the protagonist had the wrong name in his head. Is this covered further in the series, or am I just meta-gaming something entirely unrelated? Thanks!

p.s. I am only a little into the anime series, and I am ready to assume a number of forum-goers have not seen it at all, so if this is somehow significant in the anime try to politely say so without ruining anything.
p.s.s. If anyone has read the manga, could they mention whether or not it is different from the anime (as in does it just have stupid filler like any anime, or is it going the fullmetal alchemist damn-it-I-am-going-to-invent-my-own-awesome-ending?

his name is Ketchum_Ash
he can probably help you with this question.
Send him a PM.
He has the right name to the right face.
He just thinks the person is someone he isn't.

Maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal if you hadn't bragged about ignoring the rules while demanding the mods clean up after you.
