I got a PS2 (slimline) last Christmas, and have been 'catching up' on the library for the last 6 months with some of the titles that I as an XBOX owner could only gaze longlingly at.
So I picked up a copy of TS3 at Best Buy for $10 (yes I know it was multi-platform), and just finished the single player portion this evening. I remember having a lot of fun with TS2 on the XBOX, and felt that the 3rd installment was better in just about every way. I see that there was a *huge* multiplayer portion set up for the game with bots, challenges, gametypes, levels, the whole deal.
I can't help but wonder now, did all of that work go to waste? Or was TimeSplitters 3 multiplay at least popular/entertaining to those that took their PS2s online?
Just curious.

The challenges were great. Go and play them. And the Arcade. You'll need it to 100% the game anyway.
online was only good for map share. AFIAK, the PS2 online was shut down a few days ago, but I don't know if that meant the Map Share went bye-bye too. Otherwise, the game was just too damn laggy to be enjoyable.
