Annoying router issues.

Last night, when I tried to move my router out into another room by just attaching it to a longer ethernet cable, I lost my internet connection. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, I've tried power cycling, resetting it, all the basic solutions. I plugged the modem directly into my computer and I do have a connection. I put the router back to where it was with the same cables and everything, but I cannot access the internet at all. All of the lights on the front are normal, I can still access the router settings, and I even used it to set up a LAN last night but I don't have internet connection through it. Is my router fucked?

Edit- God dammit, whenever I make a thread about computer problems I always seem to get it right after I make the thread. I ended up taking the ip/dns/gateway info from ipconfig when I was plugged into my router and putting it in my router settings, which seems to have fixed the problem. Sorry for the useless thread, again.

Lock, hoooo!

so I just type in this box and it goes on the screen?
