So my old wireless Optical Logitec mouse died and I bought a Microsoft wireless optical. So I uninstalled the logitec software, installed microsoft software downloaded from there website for the mouse and it still isn't working.

Is there some magic word you have to say to get these bloody things to work?

(Its alot of fun to browse around ones PC and the internet using only the tab key.)

*Update Went through "Add New hardware" searched the Xp CD and Intranet option which came up with a find the file mouhid.sys. So, off to try and scour the cd for the file, or use a search button. Maybe it'l work. I think I've sacrifed a goat to the computer gods this week.

Usually if that's the case, it could be a virus/spyware problem. I've had that happen to MULTIPLE computers when I worked in IT.

Try running some sort of anti-virus or anti-spyware.

Thanks for the advice. I ran my Virus/Spyware progs and made another attempt and everything seems to have gone smoothly. Once and awhile I get a pop up about bad wireless reception but other then that everything is groovy.

    Thanks again.
