So, a slew of Tabula Rasa beta invites went out today. I downloaded the client in preparation of the server opening tomorrow. Is anybody else from PA going to be there?

I don't know what the TR beta NDA says about talking about it.

    I don't know because I didn't get one. :(

I'm pretty sure it's okay to tell people that more invites went out, I mean, it's been on a couple gaming news sites. I won't be posting screenshots here or nothin'.

ze swift class: yes you can. This is only like the second round of invites for closed beta, there's probably another round or two left before we even get into open beta. I'm not sure if signing up now is early enough, but it's worth a shot. I think I signed up around 9 months ago.

Isn't that just dandy. Throw everyone in at the same time and watch the lag flow.

Stress testing is a big reason they have betas. It doesn't have to be limited to specific "stress test" days, it's something they measure every day.

Yeah, I tried this on Tuesday when they opened up the flood gates to 10,000 n00bs... maybe I'll wait a week or two for the dust to settle. My machine can't handle the first outpost.

Definitely fire it up beforehand. It was quite an unpleasant surprise to find out I needed over an hour of updating on Tuesday night.

(I guess, to be fair, I should have expected some patching)

You've betrayed me NCSoft, no invite as of yet. I can't remember what I submitted as my PC specs though. I recently got a new PC, bet that would make a diff.

I think the PC specs thing is more used as marketing data than it is used for actually selecting who can and who can't have the beta.

The devs said that you could confirm you got into the beta.

I will push things a bit and say that the game has a LOT of potential for those who find traditional MMORPGs a bit slow for them but still like the concept.

So I've been a little too busy to play this recently, but I'll be getting back into it now. Do we have a PA guild or whatever yet? Or at least a way to find each other for grouping?

I did make a clan tonight mostly just to see if it was implemented yet the name is "Glognar/Meat Grinder 08 campaign tour" if you guys want it to be the PA clan let me know and maybe PM your characters names so I can invite you.

Edit: Deleted the character that was was in the guild can be remade using the same or a different name if you guys want.

My char's last name is Krak thanks to a random name gen and a not so helpful pop-up warning. My main is the clan leader for the "Space Wangs" honestly I just wanted to see if I could make the clan since the language filter is pretty strict. Seems like an appropriate place for PA people to gather around for the beta.

I am in the Closed Beta as well now. My buddy originally had a key but he tends to work most of the time the servers are up, and he knew I was a pretty big fan of the game at E3. Sadly, he made his last name McFistbaen, I'm so disappointed I can't change that. I wanted to be Bolt Vanderhuge. Anyway, I barely played to the first outpost last night, where abouts is everyone else?

Level 40 with a bunch of overpowered weapons and enough HP/Armor to declare myself as a demi-god.

Really I am hoping the next patch has a bunch of massive changes and they wipe the server to get everyone back to level 1. Let's us get to pick our last name again as well.

I think the limit is something like 16, which is enough room for 16 characters or 2 characters with 7 clones each. Which is all the classes (so far) twice over.
