Captain Pancakes also had those two circle things from some flash animation. The name of the characters is lost to me, but they were drawn with minimal style and they liked pie. Anyways, Pancakes used to put different hats on them according to whatever bandwagon was popular at the time: Pirates, Pimp Hats, Santa. This is also one of the only pieces of trivia I can whip out that pre-dates SE.

And back when the Pit got hit with fire from the sky-- now that was drama. Not only did it involve a huge part of the forum, it also involved one of the creators wives.

Apparently Tim Buckley, under an Internet alias signed up to the PA Forums, went into AC, did something wrong, and AC probably went at him like that picture of those lions attacking the hippo you see every once in a while. It was years ago though, the archives brought up no results,
