Ok, i'm kind of fedup of the crappy HP software that came with my Scanjet 4850.
I'm after software which can handle image bit depths greater than 24bit plus can handle negatives as in automatically converts to colour so I don't have to mess around in photoshop or any other software.
I'm kind of annoyed by the HP software whinging about not having enough memory when it hasn't even started scanning and so refuses to scan at higher dpi's even though I have plenty of memory.
So, replacement scanning software.. is there any particular one anybody recommends?
