Is it possible to send a text message to a verizon phone via email or a computer program?

    Email is more trouble than using AIM. If you want to message a cell phone and the number is 234-567-8900, then you can send an instant message to +12345678900 and the AIM server will relay the whole IM session as SMS to the cell phone.
