This thread is a celebration to the best pop song since Rihana's "S.O.S", which is

GIRLFRIEND by Avril Lavigne.

I love this song, and I love everything about it. The ridiculous cheerleader hook, the silly and awesome lyrics, the undefensible music video. It is everything a pop song should be. One awesome thing about this song is that Avril recorded the chorus in like seventy different languages. Here is the music video for the one with the Japanese chorus. That video is so great and awful and I love it.

And the amazingness doesn't stop there! Because Avril teamed up with Lil' Mama for this

Like look at this ridiculousness. I can't even defend it, but it's so great. This remix is the reason I made this thread.



In case that wasn't enough, here's an absolutely good mash-up of Unk's 'Walk It Off' and 'Girlfriend', with a little 'Hey Mickey' for good measure. So great.
